Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. If you give the Serum to Zoe instead of Mia, you'll receive which achievement upon conclusion of the game?

Answer: Just a Memory Now

There is one key juncture in the game and it occurs when you rendezvous with Mia and Zoe at the Boathouse pier. Ethan will need to use one of the two made Serums to survive a boss fight and be left with a critical choice: Save Mia or Save Zoe.

If he saves Mia, she'll make it to the end of the game though she'll be able to fight off the final boss and give Ethan a chance to escape the Wrecked Ship. It means Zoe isn't seen again and she's presumed dead unless you dig into the "End of Zoe" DLC.

If he saves Zoe, Mia will be left behind on the pier but Zoe won't make it far, getting killed by the mold on the way to the Wrecked Ship. Mia will return in pursuit of Ethan, but fall to the enemy's influence. Ethan will have no choice but to kill her and go it alone, ending the game without Mia by his side.

Only the former scenario, where Mia survives, is canon.
2. Which of these weapons is designed to destroy bioweapons?

Answer: Albert-01R

Given to Ethan at the very end of the adventure, the Albert can be grabbed while he's on the ground outside the Guest House facing off against the mutated final boss, having been dropped from a chopper from above. It's a massively-powerful handgun that'll blast through bioweapons, and while Ethan may only use it for a short time, it'll automatically show up in the item chest in Madhouse difficulty if you can beat the game once.

It uses the same ammo as a normal Handgun.
3. Which of these consumable items can combine with several others to upgrade them?

Answer: Chem Fluid

Chem Fluid and Strong Chem Fluid are versatile consumables and it's important to not only collect them, but use them to your benefit. Combining a general Chem Fluid with an Herb, for instance, will create a First Aid Med while combining Chem Fluid with Gunpowder will make Handgun Ammo. You can also combine Chem Fluid with Solid Fuel to make ammunition for the Burner weapon and with Supplements to make Psychostimulants. All of these combinations can be done from the inventory menu.
4. Which of these will be given to Ethan by a police officer?

Answer: Knife

Early in the game, while Ethan is getting his bearings in the Baker House, he'll find a cop at one of the ground floor windows and convince him that he's in danger. Though hesitant, the officer will relinquish a Knife, allowing Ethan to open the door to the garage, but the cop won't make it much further than this-- Jack Baker will plough a shovel through the man's head and kick off a fight sequence that'll end with crashing a car into him. You'll find the police officer in the basement of the Baker house, being prepared for processing, later in your escape attempt.
5. Which of these weapons must be crafted?

Answer: Burner

Ethan, surprisingly, can get his hands on many different weapons, improvised or not, as he makes his way to safety, but one of the more interesting ones will be the Burner, a flamethrower that can create a steady stream of fire to burn away at enemies of all sorts. Yes, fire hurts mold. To make it, however, Ethan needs to collect both halves of the item-- the Burner Grip and the Burner Nozzle-- both of which can be found in the Old House.

It's fortunate that it's found there if only because it works wonders on all of Marguerite's insect helpers.
6. Which of these will open birdcages?

Answer: Antique Coins

Throughout the game, Ethan can locate several Antique Coins, small collectibles that are scattered around the maps that'll fill in his inventory. The use for them, however, won't become apparent until he makes it out of the Baker household and into Zoe's trailer since there will be three old birdcages amongst her belongings, each of which will feature a numbered coin slot indicating the cost to open their doors. With these coins he can collect Steroids, Stabilizers, and a Magnum.

There are eighteen such coins in early difficulties and thirty-three in Madhouse difficulty.
7. Snake, Crow, and Scorpion are all varieties of what important item found throughout the game?

Answer: Keys

The Baker House, besides being a hotbed for deadly black mold, is also a complex puzzle that should not beget its denizens, and though it appears that the building should not be as sprawling as it is, it's a place you'll need to hit nearly every inch of.

The game does a good job, however, of keeping you from entering places you don't yet need to visit, and this is done with ornate keys for even more ornate locking mechanisms. Not all of these will be in the Baker House though. While the Snake and Scorpion Keys will be, the Crow Key is in the Old House next door.
8. What is the name of Test Subject E-001?

Answer: Eveline

The first and only E-Series bioweapon, Eveline is the main antagonist of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard", having broken free of her containment ship and taken root in the Louisiana bayou with the aim to retain and grow a family using her powers. When Ethan finally comes to discover the truth, he'll find that she's been present the entire time, posing as the wheelchair-bound Grandma Baker having aged rapidly due to her condition.

Despite her fragile form, she'll still be able to transform into a massive Molded entity.
9. Ethan will find two of these in the game-- one in the Yard and one in the Testing Area. What is it?

Answer: Repair Kit

Not only are there two Repair Kits, but there are two items that will make use of them, both of which Ethan will encounter quite early on. The first of these is a Broken Shotgun, needed to swap out a working one located in the Main Hall of the Baker house.

The second is a Broken Handgun, which Ethan can find on the pillow of Zoe's bed in her trailer. In either case, the Repair Kit is expended to upgrade the gun, giving you a stronger firearm than what you will have started the game with at the expense of ammo capacity.
10. What foe, encountered by Ethan during his visit to Louisiana, is spelled using the first letter of the previous nine correct answers?

Answer: Jack Baker

Jack Baker, one of the three Baker family members to appear to Ethan early in his visit to Louisiana, is also the first major foe that he'll face off against, not only encountering him in the garage of the Baker House, but in the basement morgue as well. Though it will appear that Ethan defeats Jack in both instances (even destroying Jack's entire top half with a chainsaw in the latter battle), Jack will return later on in a completely new form, having been sustained by the evil mold that plagues the region.

It'll mean one last fight against him before this particular threat comes to an end.
