Answer: Neku Sakuraba

Neku is usually antisocial, which we can tell in the first few minutes of the game. By the end of the game he seems to have changed, following all the events he goes through and all the people he meets. After finishing the storyline, a bonus chapter is unlocked, containing a parallel world where everyone is different, such as Neku being a bright and cheerful boy who is addicted to a fictional sport.

Answer: Reapers

After people die before their time in the real world, most of them are taken to the Reaper's Game, where they fight against the Reapers for a chance at another life. These games were made by the Composer, a mystical entity who possesses great power. The Conductor runs the game for the Composer, and below him are the Game Masters, who are picked by the Conductor to run that week's Reaper's Game.

The Game Master controls everything that happens in the game, and below the Game Masters are the ordinary Reapers.

There are, however, beings more powerful than the Composer, who are called the Angels.

Answer: Orange

Neku's hair is orange, which he does not seem to be overtly frustated or pleased about. Only two main characters in the whole game have orange hair, which are Neku and Kariya.

Answer: Shibuya

'The World Ends With You' is set in Shibuya, a real-life district of Tokyo. Almost all of the places in 'The World Ends With You' are based on Shibuya areas, such as the in-game 104 building, which is based on Shibuya's 109 building. Shibuya was chosen as 'The World Ends With You' setting largely down to it being famous as one of the fashion centres of Tokyo, which is very important in the game.

Answer: Sanae Hanekoma

In the third week Neku suspects Hanekoma as being the 'Composer', the being who created the Reaper's game. Hanekoma is very outgoing, and gives you lots of advice during the game. He is also the one who gives you the 'Fusion Pin', which, if used to good effect, can deal large amounts of damage to your opponents.

Answer: Shiki Misaki

Shiki fights using a stuffed cat, which herself and her friend made, which can be brought to life and controlled at her will. Neku keeps calling it a 'pig thing', rather than a cat, which Shiki always gets angry at. By the end of the Reaper's game, Shiki and Neku have formed a strong friendship.

Answer: Yoshiya Kiryu (Joshua)

Kiryu (or Joshua as he is better known in the game) uses psychokinesis to fight, by levitating objects and hurling them at his foes. He is a very smart-alecky boy who gets on Neku's nerves a lot during the course of the game. He is seemingly destroyed at the end of the second week, sacrifising himself for Neku.

Answer: Daisukenojo Bito (Beat)

Bito (or Beat as he prefers to be called) is a very irrational thinker, diving into things without assessing the situation even briefly. He hates his real name, which is revealed to Neku by a Reaper, and prefers to be called Beat. He fights while on his skateboard, trying to dive at enemies and defeat them.

Answer: Headphones

Neku wears headphones to cut himself off from everyone around him so he doesn't have to listen to their idiotic ramblings. His headphones cause Hanekoma to refer to him as 'Phones' throughout the game. After completing the game, you are able to purchase the headphones as an item which considerably boosts your stats.

Answer: Happy Beam

You start the game with eight pins, six pins that can be used in battle and two player pins, the reason for which you have two instead of one player pin is revealed later in the game. The six battle pins are just basic pins which are not very strong, but you can acquire more pins later in the game.
