1. Ruisseau veut dire?
Answer: stream or gutter

Un roturier is indeed a commoner. A roaster, they'd use a different sort of word for their turkey, un roteur would be someone who burps, though they don't have a title for it. Perhaps that would mean they were a roturier roteur.
