Red vs. Blue Trivia Questions

1. What is the question asked at the beginning of the first episode, that also shares it's name with the name of the episode?

From Quiz
"Red Vs. Blue": Season 1

Answer: Why are we here?

This question was asked by Simmons to Grif, talking about the location of the battle grounds. Grif, however, thought that he was talking about why man was made and if there was really a God.

2. What colour is Simmons?

From Quiz 'Red Vs Blue': Episode 1

Answer: Maroon

It's not revealed in the first episode who the characters are. Mainly in episode two we will get to know the characters.

3. Episode 50 Who was the Blue team's Captain before he died?

From Quiz Red vs Blue

Answer: Cpt. Flowers

He died from an Aspirin overdose, although Church thought he died from a heart attack. He was a single-episode character. Church and Caboose are Privates and Sarge is a Sargeant.

4. Whose name is the first one heard in the series?

From Quiz 'Red Vs. Blue': General Trivia

Answer: Simmons

The quote is "...and Simmons here IS IN CHARGE OF CONFETTI!" Sarge says this in episode 2.

5. In episode 2, what is the fourth mythical creature Sarge suggests naming the Warthog as to make fun of Griff's Puma theory?

From Quiz Red vs Blue: Blood Gulch Chronicles

Answer: Phoenix

Sarge had renamed their new vehicle 'The Warthog' for its hooks at the front, which he says look like tusks. Griff insisted that it looked like a Puma, which Sarge believed was not a real animal. Near the end of the episode, Sarge taunted Griff by suggesting names of other mythical creatures. The first three he suggested were Bigfoot, Unicorn, and Sasquatch. Simmons joined in suggesting Leprechaun, followed by Sarge with Phoenix and El Chupacabra (which Sarge pronounced "Chupathingy").

6. Episode 21 (Motion to Adjourn) How did Church get Doc (the medic) to go over to Caboose's position?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 21-30

Answer: Church shot Caboose

Church wanted someone to go over to Caboose's rock to help hold the position. Tucker refused to go, because he didn't want to go out into the open and get shot. Church then tried to get Doc to go over. Doc said he didn't have a weapon, and when Church suggested that he just go over there and yell "Bang, Bang, Bang", he was a little hesitant, as that still sounded pretty violent. Doc explained that he was a pacifist, and was only supposed to get involved if someone was hurt. Church shot Caboose's foot, which Doc had to help with the injury.

7. Episode 11 (Knock Knock. Who's There? Pain) Who was Tex using as target practice?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 11-20

Answer: Caboose

Tex was shooting all around Caboose, using a pistol and grenades. There were a lot of bullet holes around Caboose by the time "he" was done (this was before they knew Tex was a girl). After this, Tex ran off to get the flag back from Red Base.

8. Episode 1 According to Church, what does the red army do all the time?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 1-10

Answer: Stand there and talk

Grif and Simons are on top of the red base having a conversation while Church spies on them with the sniper rifle, with Tucker at his side. Tucker gets defensive when Church gets mad at him for asking what's happening, explaining that all they ever do is stand there and talk. This episode basically explains the simplicity and stupidity of the situation in Blood Gulch. The only reason each army has a base in the boxed canyon is because the other army also has a base.

9. Where was the entire first season set?

From Quiz 'Red Vs. Blue': War Over Nothing

Answer: Blood Gulch

The series starts in Blood Gulch, moves to Battle Creek, Sidewinder, and Longest. Then everyone is transported to the future ('Halo 2') in Burial Mounds and Zanzibar. Except Church, he's sent to the past, where he roams Bungie's first game, 'Marathon'.

10. What does Grif say the Warthog looks like?

From Quiz "Red Vs. Blue": Season 1

Answer: A Puma

This annoys Sarge, so he asks Grif what animal has tusks, motioning towards the tusk-like design on the front of the vehicle. Grif responds by saying, "A walrus."

11. What was the question Simmons asked Grif at the start of the episode?

From Quiz 'Red Vs Blue': Episode 1

Answer: 'Why are we here?'

Basically this was just to ask why were they stuck in the middle of a canyon. Grif thought he was talking about something else, so the two started discussing why they were sent to Blood Gulch.

12. Episode 81 Who was in the ship when it crash landed on Donut?

From Quiz Red vs Blue

Answer: Grif's Sister

The Reds thought she came to war by mistake but she was actually there to replace the blues' captain (Cpt. Flowers). Lopez isn't seen until later in the season, O'Mally escaped from Doc, and Tex made a surprise visit to the blues five episodes onwards.

13. Where did Doc attend medical school?

From Quiz 'Red Vs. Blue': General Trivia

Answer: Jamaica State

This is from episode 89. Doc goes on to say that the school team is the Jamaica State Fighting Irish. When Church mentions that the Fighting Irish team name belongs to Notre Dame, Doc explains that since Jamaica State is international, they don't have to apply to the stringent U.S. copyright laws.

14. What is Caboose's full name?

From Quiz Red vs Blue: Blood Gulch Chronicles

Answer: Michael J. Caboose

Caboose reveals this information in "Episode 40: Visiting Old Friends" before going on a short killing frenzy. Squall Leonheart is a "Final Fantasy" character. The other two choices are just random names.

15. Episode 22 (Red vs Bleu) What did Red Team get out of the surrender?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 21-30

Answer: Doc

Red had Blue Base under siege, and ran out of ammo, and because Grif was asleep during the last staff meeting, he didn't hear that he was supposed to take in all the extra ammo. Red Team decided to give Blue Team a chance to surrender. Red Team didn't want to the Blue Flag, because last time, Tex showed up and destroyed everything. They then demanded Lopez back, but Church was using Lopez's body as his own. Blue Team decided to offer a medic (Doc), in exchange for the Red Team admitting that one of them sucked. The rest of Red Team got Grif to give a speech about how he sucked and was a girl, etc. After, Doc was sent over to Red Team.

16. Episode 12 (Down, But Not Out) What did the soldiers at Blood Gulch find out in this episode?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 11-20

Answer: Tex was a girl

After knocking out Donut and Simmons, Tex moved inside the base where "he" was captured. When "he" regained consciousness, Tex found out that her voice filter had been broken. Church explained to Blue Team that Tex was the reason he and his girlfriend never got married.

17. Episode 2 What did Grif think the Warthog looked like?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 1-10

Answer: Puma

Sarge liked to call the new vehicle, M12 LRV, the Warthog. Grif argued that it didn't look much like a warthog, but a puma. Grif tried to explain that the puma was a big cat, but Sarge denied that it was a real animal. Sarge later heckled Grif by suggesting other animals, including Bigfoot, Unicorn, and other mythical animals.

18. Church is a trained, certified, and proficient what?

From Quiz 'Red Vs. Blue': War Over Nothing

Answer: Sniper

Church is extremely cocky, and thinks that all of his teammates are idiots. He is the sniper of the series, and he can shoot quite well. In the Christmas Day PSA, we see him snipe some tiny Christmas ornaments. BLAM Church: Ha! Now your 'Ho! Ho! Ho!' is just a 'Ho! Ho!' Although as seen in Episode 52, he really can't shoot all that well.

19. Why did Grif ramble on about God when Simmons was asking him a question?

From Quiz 'Red Vs Blue': Episode 1

Answer: Because he thought he meant why they were alive

Neither Grif nor Simmons are religious, but Simmons loves to talk about peoples' beliefs and/or memories. Grif denied he was talking about God but Simmons wanted to see if Grif would talk about it.

20. Episode 38 When everyone ran into the teleporter to chase O'Mally, where did Simmons teleport to?

From Quiz Red vs Blue

Answer: Chiron TL34

If you had "Halo: Combat Evolved" you would recognise the stage with all the teleporters. It's the Spartan combat training facility. Simmons believes it's the janitors closet.

21. What Spanish sentence does Church (while possessing Lopez) shout after the grenade Donut stuck to Tex and Sheila exploded in "Episode 19: Last One Out, Hit The Lights"?

From Quiz Red vs Blue: Blood Gulch Chronicles

Answer: "Dios mio no!"

"Dios mio no!" translates to "Oh my god no!". The explosion both destroys Sheila (the tank) and kills Tex, evidently removing the A.I. out of her head. Unfortunately, the A.I., which we later discover is named O'Malley, was able to escape into Caboose's head while he was using the radio to call Church.

22. Episode 23 (The Joy of Toggling) Church had a switch on his new robotic body. Where was it located?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 21-30

Answer: On the codpiece

Tucker reasoned that because Church was a robot, that he could fix the tank if he just activated his tank fixing program. Church was looking through his programming, while Tucker looked around on the outside. Tucker found a switch on Church, and it took a lot of persuading on Church's part to get Tucker to flip it. The switch ended up activating a homing beacon on the Warthog.

23. Episode 13 (Human Peer Bonding) What did Tucker say he hated?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 11-20

Answer: Plans

When Church proposed a plan to free Tex from Red Base, Tucker immediately stated that he hated plans, because a plan meant he had to do stuff. He explained that he would have preferred a strategy or a mission statement.

24. Episode 3 What was Private Donut's important mission?

From Quiz "Red vs Blue" Episodes 1-10

Answer: Get two quarts of elbow grease and some headlight fluid from the store.

Grif seemed to have a bit of a problem with Donut so Simons sent him on a mission to get two quarts of elbow grease, and Grif added the headlight fluid for the puma. Grif and Simons had just assumed that Donut would wander the cliffs for a while and return, but instead, he went to the Blue Base where they had just received a tank. Donut started running to the base with glee, exclaiming "oh sweet, they sell tanks!"

25. Who is the Spanish speaking robot?

From Quiz 'Red Vs. Blue': War Over Nothing

Answer: Lopez

Lopez was with the Red team, and then he got captured. Then for a few episodes, the creators decided to start having Church, who was now a ghost after Sheila the Tank shot him, move into other peoples bodies. He took over Lopez, but later switched into a body the Reds made for him so they could get Lopez back. These days, the only part left of Lopez is his head.

26. What is the name of the Blues' tank?

From Quiz "Red Vs. Blue": Season 1

Answer: Sheila

Although the tank goes to the Blues, Tucker complains, saying that you can't pick up chicks in a tank. Church responds by saying, "What chicks?"

27. What did Grif sign on to the army to do?

From Quiz 'Red Vs Blue': Episode 1

Answer: To fight aliens

Unfortunately for Grif, he never fought some aliens. Basically he was upset because he wanted to fight intelligent lifeforms- not the blues. If you understand what Grif was talking about you'd realize he was insulting the blues' intelligence.

28. Episode 10 When Church died and came back as a ghost, what was his message to Tucker and Caboose?

From Quiz Red vs Blue

Answer: Not to hire any freelancers

Church didn't want any freelancers to come into the war because freelancers can be paid by anyone and he thought the reds would use a freelancer against them. The reds never attacked, nor did they bury Church.

29. In episode 33, Church and Tex have gone into Caboose's head to find O'Malley, and to their surprise they find the whole cast of 'Red Vs. Blue', as well. Which member of the Red Team is (for the most part) represented correctly?

From Quiz 'Red Vs. Blue': General Trivia

Answer: Simmons

Grif is in yellow armor instead of orange, Donut is a girl, and Sarge has a pirate accent instead of a southern accent. It's funny to see how little Caboose pays attention and how stupid he is.

30. What is Sarge's last line for "Episode 22: Red vs Bleu"?

From Quiz Red vs Blue: Blood Gulch Chronicles

Answer: (singing) "Grif just has half a brain!"

The red team had just gotten Doc. He asked what they drank since they ran out of water six months ago, and Sarge said that he only drank the blood of his enemies, and occasionally a Strawberry Yoohoo, and so on. Then he starts singing this song: "If you like pina colada! Gettin' caught in the rain! If you're not into yoga! Griff just has half a brain!"
