1. Episode 50 Who was the Blue team's Captain before he died?

Answer: Cpt. Flowers

He died from an Aspirin overdose, although Church thought he died from a heart attack. He was a single-episode character. Church and Caboose are Privates and Sarge is a Sargeant.

2. Episode 81 Who was in the ship when it crash landed on Donut?

Answer: Grif's Sister

The Reds thought she came to war by mistake but she was actually there to replace the blues' captain (Cpt. Flowers). Lopez isn't seen until later in the season, O'Mally escaped from Doc, and Tex made a surprise visit to the blues five episodes onwards.
