Fun Trivia
Players:

When sending a correction note to the creator of a quiz, please be civil. Rude and offensive messages (whether or not you know the recipient) will be reported to the webmaster, and could result in your suspension, or ejection, from this site ... all messages (whether or not they are corection notes) sent between players in Quizzyland are visible to the editors.

Please do not send correction notes such as 'are you sure your answer on Einstein is correct, I think you might be wrong, can you please check it' as it's going nowhere. The creator may have spent many hours researching and writing the quiz. There's a good chance that a correction note along those lines will be deleted by an editor before a creator see it. You should be certain your information is correct, identify the precise error and, if at all possible, specify the question number. Each and every correction note is evaluated and followed up.

Authors:

From the webmaster: 'Games that receive lots of reported errors from players will be taken offline automatically by the system. Please fix any errors that are reported quickly so that other players don't have to sift through incorrect questions or answers.'

If you receive a correction notice, determine whether or not the correction is valid, make the correction, and respond that you have corrected, If it is not an error, respond that it is not an error. If you do not respond, the editors will assume that you are ignoring the correction and your quiz may be taken off-line. Do not respond that you have corrected the error unless you actually have. This will not get your quiz back online any faster, it'll only waste your time and an editor's, when he or she realizes what you've done.

Correction Notes Trivia Questions

1. Who sees the correction notes and the responses?

From Quiz
A Correction Note? I Think Not!

Answer: Editors in that particular category and the author of the quiz.

When you send a correction notice, it gets sent automatically to the player that created the quiz. The editors will review the correction notices to see if corrections were handled properly before deleting them. By the way, you wrote the note, so I'm assuming you saw what you wrote too. LOL

2. When an editor sees this correction note, what will the editor probably do? Hey there stupid, you might want to consider checking the dictionary next time! You misspelled the word 'popular!'

From Quiz A Correction Note? I Think Not!

Answer: The editor will probably send you a nice little note telling you to be careful when sending correction notes. Please be a little nicer in the future, we would hate to lose you as a player on this site.

Editors usually give you a nice little warning the first time. If the comments are especially rude, you will get banned from the site immediately.

3. Can you be removed from this site for sending rude notes?

From Quiz A Correction Note? I Think Not!

Answer: Yes, most definitely.

Yes, you will be completely removed from the site. You will never be able to get back onto the site again. All the quizzes that you have created will be deleted also.

4. What should an author do when he receives a correction note?

From Quiz A Correction Note? I Think Not!

Answer: Look at the problem area, adjust the quiz (if necessary), send a response to the player and to the editors.

Seriously look at the problem. If you are incorrect, change it. Send a short note to the player saying: "Thanks for playing my quiz, thanks for spotting that error, it's all fixed." Send a short note to the editors saying "I fixed the error." If you seriously disagree with the player, send a short note to the player saying: "I disagree with you, can you back this up please?" Send a short note to the editors saying, "I disagree with the player and I asked him to prove his point." Don't ever change a quiz to make a player happy, if you disagree. There is a way around everything.
