Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. You, the player, just discovered the spelling error with "Mikel Douglas" in a quiz. What should you do?

Answer: Click "Send a Correction". Write a short note saying, "You spelled 'Michael' wrong in question #2." Very nice quiz, by the way. I really enjoyed playing this quiz."

Just sending a nice note with the question number not only helps the author find the mistake, but it also helps the editors that review these.

I always like to think that you are sending a nice little note to your grandmother.
2. If you did have an error in your quiz, which correction note would you rather see?

Answer: You have a spelling error with the word "special" in question #3.

Try to think of as many details as you can. Try to put as much information as necessary into the correction note.
3. Who sees the correction notes and the responses?

Answer: Editors in that particular category and the author of the quiz.

When you send a correction notice, it gets sent automatically to the player that created the quiz. The editors will review the correction notices to see if corrections were handled properly before deleting them. By the way, you wrote the note, so I'm assuming you saw what you wrote too. LOL
4. When an editor sees this correction note, what will the editor probably do? Hey there stupid, you might want to consider checking the dictionary next time! You misspelled the word 'popular!'

Answer: The editor will probably send you a nice little note telling you to be careful when sending correction notes. Please be a little nicer in the future, we would hate to lose you as a player on this site.

Editors usually give you a nice little warning the first time. If the comments are especially rude, you will get banned from the site immediately.
5. Can you be removed from this site for sending rude notes?

Answer: Yes, most definitely.

Yes, you will be completely removed from the site. You will never be able to get back onto the site again. All the quizzes that you have created will be deleted also.
6. You just played a quiz on the movie "Grease". You are pretty sure that Olivia Newton-Jane is in the movie, not Olivia Newton-John. What kind of correction note should you send?

Answer: Do NOT send correction note! Look up the information on the internet first, before sending note.

Please check out the correction as much as possible before sending a note. I can't tell you how many times we have seen - "I think... or I'm pretty sure..." when the player is wrong.
7. What is the colour of the boat? Is there a misspelled word here?

Answer: No

No, it's not misspelled; it's spelled differently in different parts of the world. Some places spell "color" and some spell "colour." Please do NOT send a correction note for these. There are a few different words also, including "harbor and harbour."
8. You just sent a correction note on a movie. Oops, you made a mistake, the author was right and YOU were wrong. It's too late, the note was sent. What would the editors like you to do?

Answer: Send a second correction note saying, "I'm sorry I made a mistake".

This really helps not only the author, but helps the editors also. This way we can see that there was an error and it was not a valid one. We will delete both of the correction notes.
9. What should an author do when he receives a correction note?

Answer: Look at the problem area, adjust the quiz (if necessary), send a response to the player and to the editors.

Seriously look at the problem. If you are incorrect, change it. Send a short note to the player saying: "Thanks for playing my quiz, thanks for spotting that error, it's all fixed." Send a short note to the editors saying "I fixed the error."

If you seriously disagree with the player, send a short note to the player saying: "I disagree with you, can you back this up please?" Send a short note to the editors saying, "I disagree with the player and I asked him to prove his point."

Don't ever change a quiz to make a player happy, if you disagree. There is a way around everything.
10. The author created this quiz that will definitely stump people. For example: Does Trinity die in the movie "The Matrix - Reloaded"? Yes or No Yes, she died, but no, because she realistically came back to life. The author has received about 20 correction notes on this. What should the author do?

Answer: Change the wording of the question, so it will not confuse the players.

You can change the wording of the question to make everyone happy and content. Does Trinity come back to life in the movie? Yes she does!

I really hope I helped answer some basic questions about correction notes. I hope that I have helped some of you also.

Rules to remember!

Pretend you are sending your grandmother a correction note.
Be nice!
Be informative.
Be correct.
Thank the player for the quiz and their time.
