From Quiz "JFK" - The Movie

Answer: He went ice skating in Houston.

4. According to the movie, where was Mr. X when he learned that JFK had been assassinated?

From Quiz On and Behind the Scenes of "JFK"

Answer: New Zealand

Although the movie never revealed the true identity of Mr. X, the character was supposedly based on L. Fletcher Prouty, who was the Chief of Special Operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In real life, L. Fletcher Prouty was a technical advisor on the film. This information was found on imdb.com. It is worth noting however, that I have recently learned an alternate version of the Mr. X character's identity. It was rumored that Mr. X was a composite of several people, who each contributed varied information in one way or another. I have been unable to find a definite answer on the true character of Mr. X. The scene with Mr. X was my favorite scene in the film, closely followed by Jim Garrison's speech at the end.

5. According to Willie O'Keefe, why was Kennedy killed?

From Quiz "JFK" - The Movie

Answer: He was a Communist.

Jim Garrison visited O'Keefe, a homosexual gigolo, in prison. O'Keefe was doing time for hustling. He also told Garrison he knew David Ferrie, who introduced him to Oswald and claimed Ferrie wanted to go to Cuba to murder Castro, but Kennedy ordered a blockade. Ferrie then decided to kill Kennedy instead. O'Keefe also claimed that Kennedy stole the election from Richard Nixon.

6. In the movie, Janet and Bill Williams took Marina Oswald into their home. These characters were based on what two people?

Answer: Michael and Ruth Paine

It was Ruth Paine who got Lee Harvey Oswald a job in the Texas School Book Depository. The other names are fictional.

7. When Jack Ruby requested he go back to Washington with the Chief Justice to testify further, why did he say it wasn't possible?

From Quiz "JFK" - The Movie

Answer: There would be no safe place for him.

Jack Ruby was responsible for murdering Oswald. He had a meeting with Chief Justice Earl Warren in prison. Ruby was afraid if he told the truth in Dallas, he would be killed. He then conceded he wanted to tell the truth, then leave this world.

8. What was David Ferrie's response when Garrison asked him who killed Kennedy?

From Quiz "JFK" - The Movie

Answer: It was a mystery inside the riddle of an enigma.

David Ferrie met with Garrison and his associates in a hotel room. He was terrified because cops and press members were hounding him and he was afraid he'd be killed. He confessed that he knew Oswald, Ruby and Shaw. He also said the murder was so confusing that even the shooters didn't know who the actual killer was.

9. Which actor portrayed Willie O' Keefe?

From Quiz On and Behind the Scenes of "JFK"

Answer: Kevin Bacon & Bacon

In the movie, Willie O' Keefe was a homosexual serving time in prison. He claimed to have been sexually involved with Clay Shaw and David Ferrie. He also claimed to have been witness to conversations between Clay Shaw, David Ferrie and Lee Harvey Oswald.

11. In the movie, one of Jim Garrison's daughters answered the phone to a prank caller. What was her name?

From Quiz On and Behind the Scenes of "JFK"

Answer: Virginia

In the movie, Jim Garrison didn't take the prank call seriously and it sparked a fight between him and his wife. She implied that she didn't believe her husband's theory and threatened to run out with the kids.

12. What caused a heated argument between Jim and his wife Liz, causing her to threaten to leave?

From Quiz "JFK" - The Movie

Answer: A stranger called their daughter claiming she was in a beauty contest.

Garrison's daughter, Virginia, received a call stating that he entered her in a beauty contest and the caller wanted a full description of her. Garrison watched on the news that Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and seemed more concerned over that than his daughter's safety. Liz threatened to leave him and take the kids. Garrison's son Jasper told him he was scared. Garrison assured him it was okay and that the truth can scare anyone. It even scared Kennedy and he was a brave man.

13. At the conclusion of the movie, what was the final verdict?

From Quiz "JFK" - The Movie

Answer: Clay Shaw was acquitted.

After a long speech by Garrison to prove Shaw's guilt, the jury acquitted him due to lack of evidence and a shortage of witnesses. After Shaw's acquittal, Garrison was asked if he would resign. He replied that he would run again and win. He also said he would devote the rest of his life to finding out who the real killer was. He owed that to Kennedy and to the country.

14. "Let justice be done though the heavens fall" was a line spoken by which character?

From Quiz On and Behind the Scenes of "JFK"

Answer: Jim Garrison

Jim Garrison shouted these words to the media as he ran up the steps of the courthouse. This was just after the media had gotten wind of the investigation that Jim Garrison had launched in the assassination of JFK. In real life, Jim Garrison not only believed the conspiracy theory, but he believed Lee Harvey Oswald was completely innocent. According to the movie, Lee Harvey Oswald had no gun powder on his hands that day, to indicate he had shot a rifle. In addition, he is placed on another floor less than a minute after the shooting. In the movie, Jim Garrison stated that records will not be released to the public until the year 2038. At the end of the movie however, the scrolling text stated that documents are set to be released in 2029. Many people have their own thoughts and theories about the JFK assassination but I think most people will agree that the day the president was killed was tragic and life-altering. Most of the information I have given in this quiz can be found on imdb.com. Thanks for taking my quiz!
