1. Who was the captain of the ship that crashed on the planet?

Answer: the name wasn't said

The only way to truly find out was near the beginning of the film, when the bolts instantly shot into the Captain's sleep chamber and killed him on impact. This was about the part where the ship started getting torn apart, after Riddick's narration.
