8. Lying in bed, I was awakened by a phone call when viewers first saw me. Who played me?
From Quiz "Seven" 101
Answer:
Gwyneth Paltrow
Paltrow, born in 1972 in Los Angeles, California, portrayed Tracy Mills. Tracy was asleep with David, her husband, in her first scene when she got annoyed at a phone call for him. He mentioned to Tracy that he had to get going for the day so she advised him to fix up his eye since it was crusty. Tracy and David were seen comforting each other throughout the movie, that is, until tragedy struck. The serial killer targeted Tracy by cutting off her head, killing her. Paltrow had roles in the films "The Talented Mr. Ripley", "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and "The Royal Tenenbaums". In 1999, she won an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film "Shakespeare in Love". Other Oscar nominees for Best Actress in a Leading Role that year were Cate Blanchett for "Elizabeth", Fernanda Montenegro for "Central Station", Meryl Streep for "One True Thing" and Emily Watson for "Hilary and Jackie".
