Phil may play for Aberdeen but is a Glasgow Celtic supporter! He was born 4th March 1980 in Glasgow and made his debut on the 11th December 1999 against Celtic. Earlier in 2002 Phil got married to Kara. I have seen their wedding picture in the paper and they are a nice couple together. In the first match of the season 2002-2003 against Celtic, Celtic scored their 3rd goal and Phil and team-mate Jamie McAllister got into a little scrap. Phil blamed Jamie for the goal and then they were at each others throats. Goalkeeper Peter Kjaer had to break them up.

He has also played for Manchester United, Aresnal (loan), Reading (loan), Dundee, Sheffield United (loan) and Hibernian before returning back to Aberdeen in 1997. He retired from International football in October 1998. He won 91 caps when he played for Scotland. He was Aberdeen's goal keeping coach in 2002.
