Banana Splits Trivia Questions

1. There were four members of the Banana Splits. If Fleegle is a beagle, what animal do you think "Snorky" was?

From Quiz
One Banana, Two Banana

Answer: elephant

Snorky is a great name for an animal with a really big snork.. errr, snout. Similar to Harpo Marx, he has the dubious infamy of being the only character who didn't require a voice actor. He simply never said anything. Oddly, the Snorkster started off as a really hairy being (a cross somewhere between Cousin ITT and a woolly mammoth). In the second season, he's all clean-cut and respectable.

2. The "Banana Splits Show" was a creation of which cartoon company?

From Quiz "The Banana Splits" - Rock and Roll Animals

Answer: Hanna Barbera

William Hanna and Joseph Barbera gave us many classics such as "The Jetsons" and "The Flintstones".

3. Prince Turhan and Princess Nidor led the Arabian Knights against the evil Bakaar. What was the name of their little donkey?

From Quiz Hanna-Barberra's 'Banana Splits'

Answer: Zazu

He may have been little, but his hind legs sure packed a wallop!

4. How many Banana Splits were there?

From Quiz "The Banana Splits" - Rock and Roll Animals

Answer: Four

Remember the song? "One banana, two banana, three banana, four. Four bananas make a bunch and so do many more".

5. On 'Danger Island,' what was the name of the native who was friends with Morgan and came to the aid of the castaways?

From Quiz Hanna-Barberra's 'Banana Splits'

Answer: Chongo

'Uh-Oh! Chongo!' was Morgan's cry when he needed his friend's assistance.

6. Usually some type of music was involved on "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour". One song featured a man with a deep voice who was famous for "I Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe". Do you know who he is?

From Quiz One Banana, Two Banana

Answer: Barry White

The song was called "Doin' the Banana Split" and is part of the compilation of 45 EPs sponsored by Kellogg's (of cereal fame) and featured on the show. The Banana Splits usually pretended to be playing the songs against psychedelic backgrounds. Barry White. Who'd have thought?

7. Fleegle, the Beagle, played what musical instrument?

9. Bingo, the drummer, was what kind of animal?

Answer: Bingo

Well, THERE's a game I've never played and don't intend to until I'm at least 65. Bingo (who we think is a gorilla) is the drummer of the group. His choice of name was most likely related to The Beatles as a take-off on Ringo.

12. Drooper was also a guitar player. What kind of animal was Drooper?

From Quiz "The Banana Splits" - Rock and Roll Animals

Answer: Lion

Drooper was a lion, and he reminds me a lot of Pete Puma from Warner Brothers cartoon fame.
