1. Where do Kaylons carry their weapons?

Answer: in their heads

In the episode "Identity" we see that when the Kaylons decide to take the Orville crew hostage, the sides of their heads open up and two laser type weapons appear. The Kaylon's heads are also able to disconnect from their bodies and fly to attack.

At the beginning of the episode, Bortus sees Dr. Finn and asks her if she could help him grow a mustache because Moclans are unable to grow facial hair. The doctor uses a follicle stimulator and tells Bortus that he should have a mustache soon. On the bridge, the crew finds out that it was jokester Gordon Malloy who convinced Bortus to grow it saying that it would make him look more rugged. Bortus's mate, Klyden, is also displeased with the mustache and wants Bortus to shave it off.

Retepsians are able release a pheromone that arouse sexual urges in any male or female in their proximity. On their planet it is considered rude if they don't accept the sexual advances of someone. When Ed learns of this in a later episode, he begins to wonder if Kelly's infidelity may have been caused by the pheromones released by Darulio. Darulio is played by Rob Lowe.

Answer: They hide on the event horizon of a black hole.

When the crew stops on the edge of the event horizon of a black hole, they sit at a point where light can't escape which renders them invisible to the Kaylons. Time is also distorted and what is a few minutes for the crew, is actually hours for the Kaylons searching for them.

Answer: Because Klyden was going to expose Lokcar as being attracted to females which isn't allowed on Moclas.

In the episode, Bortus's old boyfriend Locar comes onboard and Klyden immediately becomes jealous. Klyden discovers that Locar is attracted to females and intends to expose him. On Moclas, preferring females to males is a punishable crime. Also, suicide is not an option because it is considered a dishonorable act which would dishonor his entire family. Locar instead programs the holodeck to make it look like Klyden murders him. Locar then cloaks himself and hides in a shuttle in the hope that he can sneak to another planet. His plan fails and he is taken into custody and sent back to Moclas to stand trial.

When Topa is born, he is born a female. On Moclus, when a child is born female, they must go through a mandatory sex change operation the change them to a male. After some thought, Bortus decides that he doesn't want his child to go through the procedure but caves in to Klyden's wishes.

Hugging the donkey is an improvised maneuver where the pilot gets as close to the opposing ship as possible and makes tight circles and loops around it so that it can't get a solid lock quick enough to do damage.

When Security Chief Alara Kitan goes back to her home planet, Ed requests another Xeleyan as her replacement. During the interview with Talla Keyali, Talla admits to punching her commander but explains the reason. She also says she can't guarantee she wont punch Ed out but does guarantee that if anyone comes at Ed or Kelly, she'll mess them up real bad first.

While on their way to the Orville, Ed asks Gordon what he has in his hand and Gordon tells him that it's a beer. Ed tells Gordon that it's 9:00 in the morning and to give him the beer. Gordon refuses and then stars playing around like he's drunk and makes the shuttle swerve around. Gordon almost hits another ship before he stops goofing around.

In the episode, Ed and Kelly are tricked into believing they are boarding a transport ship that Ed's parents happen to be on. The holographic projections of Ed's parents have an uncomfortable conversation with Ed and Kelly which prompts Kelly to ask Ed what his mother really thinks of her. Ed tries to change the subject but ends up blurting out his mother's comments. When they reach what they think is the transport ship, it vanishes and whisks Ed and Kelly off to an interplanetary zoo.

In the episode, the crew gets to check out the contents a time capsule from the year 2015. One of the items inside is a pack of cigarettes. Bortus is intrigued with the aroma and has the ship's replicator produce some cigarettes so that he and Klyden can try them. They both quickly become addicted and Dr. Finn has to find some kind of antidote to break them from their smoking habit.

The Krill have a pair of protrusions sticking out from the bottom of their chin that looks somewhat like insect pincers. What's funny about it is that Teleya didn't act as if it was a strange thing for a Krill to say so maybe they actually do wax their chin horns.

Answer: He humped a statue.

When John humps the statue he is immediately recorded by passers by and the video is downloaded on social media. John gets arrested because he quickly gets too many dislikes. There are no lawyers so John gets a public relation agent assigned to him and he has to go on an apology tour in order to bring his likes level up. If his dislikes reach a certain level, he will have to go through a surgical brain procedure which could mess up his mind.

The reason Mercer has Kermit on his desk is never told but Seth MacFarlane, who plays Mercer, is well known for his impersonation of Kermit's voice. He has done his impersonation on many comedy talk shows, "Family Guy", and "Saturday Night Live".

Moclas devotes their entire planet to the production of weapons. The whole planet is one giant production facility. In the episode "Sanctuary", they threatened to stop selling weapons to the Planetary Union if the council didn't vote their way on the subject of Planetary Union membership for female Moclans hiding on another planet.

Isaac is an artificial lifeform from the planet Kaylon and was able to master the piano in a fraction of a nano second. After Ty's piano recital, Dr. Finn goes to Isaac to thank him and while talking, she starts getting romantic feelings towards him. Dr. Finn decides to pursue a relationship with Isaac only to have her heart broken when Isaac ends the relationship. After that, Dr. Finn gets another piano teacher for Ty and tells Isaac that she doesn't want to see him anymore.

In the episode "Primal Urges", Bortus starts spending most of his free time running sexual hologram programs. His mate Klyden becomes suspicious and discovers what Bortus is up to. Klyden stabs Bortus in the chest while he is sleeping and almost kills him. When The Captain puts Klyden in the brig, Bortus tells the Captain to release Klyden because he was just performing a Moclan divorce ritual and has done nothing wrong.

The crew has karaoke nights on the ship and Kelly of course sings Journey tunes. In one episode, Mercer tries to help Kelly's new boyfriend out by telling him to have "Open Arms" by Journey playing on their date night and he'll be in.

Ed is nervous during his interview and while he talks he asks if he could have one of the mints on the desk. Before the Admiral can respond, Ed grabs one and pops it into his mouth. The Admiral then says, "They're marbles" and Ed quickly spits it back into the bowl.

Answer: Yaphit

Yaphit is a gelatinous life form and is one of the ship's engineers. He's always hitting up on Dr. Finn using sexual innuendos. He is voiced by comedian Norm Macdonald. Lt. Malloy, who is the ship's prankster, once tricked Bortus into eating a piece of Yaphit without either knowing what happened. Yaphit goes to sickbay and tells the doctor that feels that something is missing. Bortus then arrives complaining of digestive problems. When the doctor finds out what happened, she give Yaphit the option of reaching into Bortus through the mouth to retrieve the piece or wait until Bortus poops it out. So of course Yaphit takes the first option.

Answer: They each remove a tooth and exchange them with each other so that their next partner can eat it.

In the episode "Deflectors", Bortus is asked questions by the bridge crew about his relationship with his old boyfriend. When asked if the breakup was similar to their divorce rituals, Bortus tells them that the two remove a tooth and each gives the other their tooth. Then that tooth is given to the next boyfriend. Gordon then replies "Let me guess. Then he eats it." Bortus replies "That is correct." Gordon then says "Man! I'm getting good at this."

Answer: Isaac breaks her arm in an arm wrestling contest.

During a weekly arm wrestling contest between Alara and Isaac, Alara's arm is broken. After Dr. Finn repairs it, she tells Alara that she has lost some muscle mass and bone density. The doctor tells Alara that if she doesn't return to her home planet where the gravity is greater, she may lose her super strength and be only as strong as a normal human female. Ed still wants Alara to stay on as head of security but Alara feels that she would lose respect if people know that she can be beaten up by anyone. She chooses to go to her home planet to recuperate in the hope that she can some day return to her position on the Orville.

When the crew discover what the Kaylons did, the Kaylons commandeer the Orville and send an armada of ships to Earth to destroy all humans. Their primary goal is to destroy all humanoid life in the Galaxy.

When Malloy replicates the Twinkie, Mercer tells him that they risked their lives to get the replicator and the first thing he thinks about is a Twinkie, Malloy says "Yeah! You want half?" Mercer responds "Hell yes!" and they both devour their halves and act as if was the greatest thing they ever ate.

In the episode, Klyden is getting upset with Bortus because Bortus is always working late or going to work early. Bortus continually tells Klyden that his first duty is to the ship. Unsatisfied with Bortus's excuses, Klyden goes to the holodeck and discovers that Bortus is running sexual programs. One of the sex programs that Bortus downloads transfers a virus into the ship's computer system which causes multiple ship-wide problems.

In order to stop the Kaylon invasion, Kelly and Malloy escape from the Orville in a shuttle craft and travel to Krill territory to enlist their help in fighting the Kaylons. Kelly assures the Krill that the Kaylons will not stop after destroying Earth and will come after them next if they don't join forces. The Krill don't believe Kelly until Kaylon ships chasing the shuttle show up and start attacking.

In the "Firestorm" episode, Alara begins to question her suitability as Security Officer when she hesitates in a critical situation. The Captain decides to let Isaac set up a simulation program to help Alara cope with her fears. Isaac asks the bridge crew to come up with personal fears to add to the program. Lamar added scary clowns to the program. Lamar doesn't even like to hear the word clown being used.
