Interestingly, the wanted poster of Bull McCoy featured a Trampas lookalike with a mustache, but Doug McClure did not wear a mustache in season seven. He added the mustache for his changed look in the revamped format of season nine when it was retitled "The Men from Shiloh." John Wesley Hardin is the only real person in this list. The other two names are fictitious characters from two previous episodes of the series.

3. In "The Fatal Journey," from season two, what did The Virginian do when Molly Wood, the woman he planned to marry, was murdered?

From Quiz TV Western "The Virginian"

Answer: He tracked down the murderers himself.

When the posse The Virginian joined was unsuccessful, he continued tracking the outlaws by himself.

4. In the episode "With Help from Ulysses," who or what was Ulysses?

Answer: a shaggy dog

At the urgent request of a sick old prospector, Trampas took Ulysses with him to help locate the man's niece. Trampas thought the name Ulysses was a strange name for a dog, so he called him Fred. The dog wasn't much help in finding the niece, but he was adorable, and his interaction with Trampas provided a few laughs. He was a well-trained canine actor. The deaf ranch hand appeared in the episode "Jacob Was a Plain Man" from season five. Aldo Ray played the part, and he was a solidly built man. I made up the other two choices.
