1. What is the name of the main character, who finds the Mana Sword and sets off on the quest, initially on his own?

The naming is something that has to be done before beginning the game. When out playing with his friends, the boy falls off of a log bridge. Here he meets a ghost who instructs him to remove the sword from the rock in the water. He does this and uses it to fight monsters on his way back to the village, where he must fight a rather more powerful monster. A mysterious stranger tells him that the sword is the Mana Sword, and directs him to go to the Water Palace.

You pay your fee and then slide into the cannon. You are then shot out of the cannon, and spiral in the air until you land with a thump at your destination.
