1. What colour is the Large Black pig?

Answer: Black

Large Blacks are just slightly smaller than Yorkshires and native to Great Britain. It's the only British pig that is totally black and sows give birth to a litter of 8 to 10 piglets.
2. Where did the potbelly pig originate?

Answer: Vietnam

There are 14 sub-species of potbelly pigs and they can weigh up to 300lbs. Nowadays they are mainly kept as pets. Potbelly pigs are the same species as farmyard and wild boar pigs and are capable of interbreeding.
3. The mulefoot is a breed of pig.

Answer: True

Believe it or not it is a pig, and is named for its non cloven hooves like a mule. It was bred with a solid hoof to eliminate foot rot making it suitable for wet areas.
4. What country is the origin of the Bazna pig?

Answer: Romania

The Bazna was officially recognized as a breed of pig in 1958. It's a cross between the Berkshire pig and the Mangalitsa pig. Its origin is from the central Transylvania region of Romania and its colour is black with a white stripe around the shoulder area.
5. The Guinea hog is also known by what other name?

Answer: Guinea forest hog

Originally a breed of pig from West Africa, it is now a rare breed unique to North America. Guinea hogs are about 15 to 20 inches when fully grown and are usually black in colour.
6. Where did the Poland China originate?

Answer: United States of America

They are neither from Poland or China but its origin is from Ohio, USA. These pigs have medium sized droopy ears and are usually black but some can have white patches.
7. Which of these is not a pig breed?

Answer: Brazilian

Cantonese, Tibetan and Arapawa Island are all breeds of pigs. Arapawa Island pigs are feral pigs found in New Zealand.
8. Which pig is known as the curly haired hog?

Answer: Mangalitsa

Mangalitsa is a breed of pig grown especially in Hungary and the Balkans. Their fat is more unsaturated than normal pigs' fat so it melts at a lower temperature and is also much healthier.
9. What's another name for the Oxford sandy pig?

Answer: Plum pudding

The Oxford sandy pig is also known as the Oxford forest pig. Traditionally they are found in woodlands, and are believed to have been developed in Oxfordshire about 200 years ago.
10. The Iberian pig is found where?

Answer: Southern Spain and Portugal

The Iberian pig is known as the alentejano pig in Portugal. The Iberian pig is dark in colour with little or no hair. Jamon iberico is the name of the ham from these pigs and can be very expensive due to the fact the pig is rare and well protected and the ham is limited in quantity.
