Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "I split up with my girlfriend, but, like the Japanese say, "They'll be another one floating by any minute now." I can't believe it! I just don't believe that a celebrity would actually say something like that in public! Which of these comedians wrote the words above?

Answer: Gilbert Gottfried

Gilbert Gottfried is a comedian who is known for speaking in a loud obnoxious voice, which is part of his comedy routine. Gilbert Gottfried got into trouble after he posted the comment to Twitter in March, 2011. While it was meant to be a joke, it was posted shortly after the earthquake that devastated the northeast region of Japan, leading to one of the world's worst nuclear disasters at Fukushima. Gilbert's controversial Tweet forced the American insurance company Aflac to fire him as the voice of their famous duck mascot. One of Gilbert Gottfried's most notable film roles was as the voice of the parrot Iago (hence the photo), the loudmouth sidekick of the villain Jafar from the Walt Disney animated film, "Aladdin" (1992).
2. "I wouldn't feel right wearing clothes covering my body." I'm sure some fans wouldn't mind seeing any of the following women in their birthday suits. However, to which of these ladies does the quote belong?

Answer: Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera apparently made the comment in 2006. While the origin of the quote is hard to find, the quote itself isn't, as it shows up in many tabloid websites and memes when you look for it in a search engine. The photo is a reference to Christina Aguilera's breakthrough song "Genie in A Bottle", which was first released on her self-titled debut album in 1999.

As her success in music has grown, her affinity for clothes has apparently been shrinking. In 2012, Christina Aguilera admitted to not liking to wear underwear during an interview with E! talk show host Chelsea Lately.

In recent years, she has been participating in nude photoshoots, with the pictures being posted in celebrity magazines as well as Instagram and other social media platforms.
3. "I actually don't like thinking. I think people think I like to think a lot. And I don't. I do not like to think at all." I think this guy was out in the sun too long when he said this. Who is credited with the above statement?

Answer: Kanye West

Kanye West is a famous rapper who is known for having a big ego. Many of the things that Kanye West says and does have a tendency to ruffle some feathers in the world of social media. The quote in this quiz originated in an interview featuring Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian, that was published in the fashion magazine "Harper's Bazaar" in 2016.

The building in the photograph is a saloon from the Old Tucson theme park in Tucson, Arizona. Old Tucson was originally built as a movie studio where many Western themed television shows and movies were filmed.
4. "No, I didn't go to England, I went to London." You would think that the heiress of one of the world's largest hotel chains would know her geography better. Who said this?

Answer: Paris Hilton

The city in the photograph is Paris, France, with the Eiffel Tower in the foreground. The quote is from an infamous Tweet written by Paris Hilton. Paris' great-grandfather, Conrad Hilton, opened his first single 40-room hotel in Texas in 1919. Hilton has since become one of the largest hotel brands in the world.

While Paris benefited from being the heiress of a billion dollar corporation, it was Paris' wild social life that catapulted her into the social spotlight. Paris Hilton also starred in the reality series "The Simple Life", along with her best friend, Nicole Richie.

The show aired on Fox from 2003-2005 and on E! from 2006-2007 and helped to enhance Paris' social popularity.
5. "When somebody is the President of the United States, the authority is total. And that's the way it's got to be." Which of the following Presidents wrote the words above?

Answer: Donald Trump

This quote comes from a Tweet made by President Donald Trump in 2020. Donald Trump is often seen as a celebrity President, having had little to no political experience prior to being elected to office. Trump gained notoriety as a successful real estate mogul, which made him into a billionaire, and also hosted his own reality show, "The Apprentice", for fourteen seasons beginning in 2004.

He has gained a reputation of being a short-tempered and stubborn individual. Donald Trump has become well known for his extensive use of social media, particularly Twitter, to forward his agenda.

His Tweets are usually very blunt and often stir the political pot in the United States. However, just imagine the things presidents of the past (e.g. Andrew Jackson, Theodore Roosevelt) would have Tweeted about if the technology existed in their time!
6. "When I was in England I experimented with marijuana a time or two, and I didn't like it. I didn't inhale it, and never tried it again." To be fair, here's a quote from a politician from the other side of the fence. Who spoke these words?

Answer: Bill Clinton

Politicians from both sides of the spectrum have been known to deliver quotes that caused some people to scratch their heads. This quote was spoken by former American President Bill Clinton while he was campaigning for his first term. Since he won the Presidency in 1992, it seemed as though this comment did not significantly affect his campaign.

However, this wouldn't be the last time that Bill Clinton would deliver a meme-worthy quote. Who could forget the infamous "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" quote, which was spoken by Bill Clinton in 1998 as the Monica Lewinsky scandal was unfolding? The photograph is of a saxophone, which Bill Clinton was known for being able to play quite well.
7. "I'd rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a tin." I wonder if "Iron Man" Tony Stark knew of this before hiring this woman to be his personal secretary. Which actress made this remark?

Answer: Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow is an American actress who also has an affinity for cooking. She has published several cook books, such as "My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family and Togetherness" in 2011. Apparently Miss Paltrow does not like canned cheese all that much as she so bluntly stated during an interview with British reporter Jonathan Ross.

She apparently doesn't like eating McDonald's either. In recent years Gwyneth Paltrow became famous for portraying Pepper Potts (hence the pepper and pots in the photo), the secretary/love interest of Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) in the "Marvel Cinematic Universe" series of movies.
8. "I think gay marriage is something that should be between a man and a woman." Which of these action movie stars made this remark? Maybe we shouldn't let him teach kindergarten anymore.

Answer: Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian born bodybuilder who found success as a Hollywood action star. Later in his life, he transitioned to politics and was elected as the Governor of California in 2003. The quote was spoken by Arnold Schwarzenegger during a 2002 interview with Sean Hannity on "Fox News" prior to his election.

While it's apparent that the quote was a slip of the tongue, since it was spoken on live television it has become a meme-worthy quotation. The photograph depicts a metal skull, a reference to "The Terminator" films which helped solidify Arnold Schwarzenegger's acting career. Arnold is also known for playing a teacher in the movie "Kindergarten Cop" (1990).
9. "Jews are responsible for all wars in the world." Drinking too much alcohol is said to loosen one's tongue. Which of these celebrities spoke these words after getting arrested for a DUI?

Answer: Mel Gibson

On July 28, 2006, actor Mel Gibson was arrested in Los Angeles, California for a DUI (driving under the influence). During the traffic stop, Mel Gibson was recorded making antisemitic remarks during an alcohol fueled verbal rampage when he was being questioned by the officer.

In addition, Mel Gibson apparently made an inappropriate sexual remark to the arresting officer, who happened to be female. It was not the first time Mel Gibson had troubles with alcohol as he was involved in a DUI related accident in Toronto, Canada in 1984.

The photograph is of a pistol, which of course is a "lethal weapon". Mel Gibson was known for playing Sgt. Martin Riggs in the "Lethal Weapon" series of police action films alongside Danny Glover.
10. "Is this chicken, what I have, or is this fish? I know it's tuna, but it says Chicken by the Sea." Which of these "irresistible" women had herself a blonde moment when she spoke the words you see above?

Answer: Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson is an American singer who released the album "Irresistible" in 2001. The quote was spoken by Jessica Simpson on an episode of the MTV reality show "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica" in 2003, which featured Jessica and her first husband Nick Lachey.

The quote went viral in a relatively new social media era. The product she was eating is actually named "Chicken OF the Sea", which is a popular brand of canned tuna fish. Despite being named "Chicken of the Sea", the tuna fish brand does not have any chicken mixed into it.

The name originated as a nickname fishermen had given to the albacore species of tuna, whose meat had a color similar to chicken. The daisy is a reference to Daisy Duke, a character portrayed by Jessica Simpson in the movie adaptation of "The Dukes of Hazzard" in 2005.
