To highlight the cynicism that his life is marked with, following his addition to the cast of Chester soap "Hollyoaks" (1995), I found the headline "Which Hollyoaks' girl will be the next fiance of Mr. Darren Day"?

Still, he makes the rounds on the reality TV shows with appearances including "Celebrity Come Dine With Me" (2005). I actually saw him performing panto in Manchester where he took on the role of the villain King Rat in "Dick Whittington". Well he was hardly a credible Lord Mayor of London now, was he?

Isla played the role of Gloria Cleary and won an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Poor old Vince was just trying to help out Owen Wilson in his pursuit of Rachel McAdams, but Isla had other ideas. Vince tried to get away from her but failed miserably, and in the end, succumbed to her advances like any rational man would do.

Isla actually had a nude scene in this movie, but she elected to use a body double. In one interview she is quoted as saying, "I totally hate the puritanical approach to the whole nudity thing, but then when it comes to me I have double standards."

Isla took on the role of Rebecca Bloomwood, and proceeded to buy, get in debt, lose her job and naturally, get a guy, along the way. The film was not critically well received, but I can't imagine that a film about shopping is ever likely to compete with the likes of "The Godfather!" (1972).

There are plenty of books in the "Shopaholic" series of novels, which should keep fans going for a little while. One of them has the title "Shopaholic Ties the Knot". Surely, Isla won't end up in another film alluding to a wedding in its title?

Burke and Hare were the infamous body-snatchers who conducted a series of murders in Edinburgh, during the 19th century. They sold the bodies on to Dr. Knox, who would pay them a small sum for their find, so that he could use them for his research.

In the film, Simon Pegg played William Burke, who fell for Isla as soon as he saw her. She then proceeded to charm his socks off with her Scottish accent, and showed off her knowledge of Shakespeare. This encouraged Burke to finance her production of "The Scottish Play", where Isla took on the role of the lead character in an all female production. Who comes up with these ideas?
