3. Santa Claus is Comin' to Town (1970)

Answer: Mickey Rooney

Mickey Rooney was the voice of Kris Kringle, or Santa Claus in "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town". After his mail truck breaks down, the mailman, Special Delivery "S.D." Kluger, tells a group of children the story of Santa. According to him, Santa was an orphan named Kris who was adopted by a group of brothers who were elves with the last name of Kringle. He ran into trouble with the law when he delivered toys in spite of the fact that there was a law against doing just that. That is why his deliveries were made at night. Eventually the law was abolished and the people, who looked up to Kris, canonized him as a saint, making him Santa Claus.

Rooney starred in a wide variety of voice roles during his long career, and even played Santa Claus again in "The Year Without a Santa Claus" (1974), "Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July" (1979), "The Happy Elf" (2005), and "A Miser Brothers Christmas" (2008).
