Answer: World Wrestling Entertainment

The company was previously called the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) between 1963 and 1979, and it changed its name again in 1979 to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). However, after losing a legal battle with the World Wildlife Fun (WWF) over the use of the WWF initials overseas, they had to change their name to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in May 2002.

Their main headquarters in Connecticut is where they hold lots of old items and costumes that have been used by various WWE superstars over the years. 3. Which famous family has owned WWE for many years?

Answer: McMahon Family

Vincent Kennedy McMahon has become the most famous McMahon family member by not only running the company, but for also wrestling on various shows and becoming a billionaire. He was given his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2008. His wife, Linda, son, Shane and daughter, Stephanie have also either regularly appeared or wrestled on shows for the company.

His father, Vince McMahon, Sr., was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996, and is credited as the man who created WWE.

"Wrestlemania" was created by Vince McMahon in 1985 and is the biggest WWE event of the year. "Wrestlemania" has played host to many famous wrestling matches over the years, such as Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant, Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage and the Rock vs. Hulk Hogan. The event regularly has over 60,000 fans in attendance and is watched by millions around the globe.

"RAW" first aired on January 11, 1993. Vince McMahon, Randy Savage and Rob Bartlett hosted the first ever episode, which featured the Undertaker fighting Damien Demento in the main event.

Ted Turner owned WCW and installed Eric Bischoff as the head of the company. WWE's flagship show, "RAW", had already been running for two and half years on a Monday night, when WCW first aired "Nitro" in September 1995, their very own flagship show. WCW upset all odds by winning many of the weekly ratings battles.

The two show's battled it out until March 2001 by which time WCW had lost 122 consecutive head-to-head showdowns. Ted Turner then decided to sell the company to WWE owner, Vincent Kennedy McMahon thus bringing an end to an era that many wrestling fans regard as the greatest era in pro wrestling.

Answer: Wellness Program

The Wellness Program was introduced in February 2006, only a few months after the death of then WWE superstar Eddie Guerrero. The Wellness Program tests for any kind of drug, alcohol abuse and cardiac screening. Since its introduction various WWE superstars have been suspended or fired from the company due to violating the Wellness Program.

Many former WWE superstars, have died either directly from substance abuse or from health conditions that have developed due to substance abuse.

Answer: Hell in a Cell

Shawn Michaels defeated the Undertaker in the first ever Hell in a Cell Match. Michaels pinned the Undertaker after Kane interfered and hit the Undertaker with a "Tombstone". This was the first of many great Hell in a Cell matches. The most famous one took place at "King of the Ring" 1998 when the Undertaker fought Mankind.

The Undertaker threw Mankind off the top of the cell through the announcers table at ringside and then later "Chokeslammed" him through the roof of the cell to the ring below.

Answer: The Rock

The Rock won many WWE Championships and provided some of the best interviews and promos in the company's history. He gave up wrestling in 2004 to have a full time acting career.
