The book "The Princess Bride", written by William Goldman, was originally published in 1973. The tales follows a trail of forbidden love, kidnapping, murder, intrigue and, of course, a wedding (of sorts).

William Goldman along with Adam Guettel, American composer and lyricist, also attempted to adapt "The Princess Bride" into a musical. The project was unsuccessful when the pair parted ways before completion.

"The Wedding", published in 2003, was written by Nicholas Sparks as a follow-up to "The Notebook". It follows the story of Wilson Lewis who realises that the spark has gone out of his marriage. He realises, as his daughter is about to get married and his wife about to leave him, that he loves his wife more than ever and vows to make his wife fall in love with him all over again.
