Doink has been played by numerous wrestlers including Matt Borne, Ray Apollo, amd Steve Keirn.

Answer: The American Dream Dusty Rhodes

The character of Virgil was named after The American Dream Dusty Rhodes whose real name is Virgil Runnels, Jr. Bobby Heenan came up with the idea as a jab on Rhodes who was working for WCW at the time. Virgil Earp is the older brother of famous lawman Wyatt Earp and Gus Grissom is a famous astronaut.
