Erik Killmonger, born N'Jadaka, is a supervillain who first appeared in Marvel Comics' "Jungle Action Vol. 2, #6" in September 1973. The character reappears in the 2018 film "Black Panther", set in the African nation of Wakanda. Killmonger, the nemesis of the Black Panther, is played by Michael B. Jordan. Jordan's other screen credits include "Creed" "Fruitvale Station" and "Just Mercy".
2. Daisy Buchanan

The novel "The Great Gatsby" was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and published in 1925. The setting is 1922 and includes the fictional towns of West Egg and East Egg on New York's affluent Long Island. It depicts the 'Jazz Age', prohibition, flappers and the American dream of the 'Roaring Twenties'. We meet wealthy Jay Gatsby and learn of his affair with Daisy Buchanan, his married neighbor.
3. Seth Hazlitt

William Windom plays Doc Seth Hazlitt on "Murder She Wrote", set in scenic Cabot Cove, Maine. Doc Hazlitt is the town doctor and close friend of famous mystery writer Jessica Fletcher, played by the wonderful Angela Lansbury. The show ran for twelve seasons.

After people kept being murdered in Cabot Cove, in the later seasons she traveled to other venues to avoid devastating the Maine population.
4. Rocket J. Squirrel

"The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends" is an animated cartoon which first aired in November 1959. The comedy revolves around the antics of a flying squirrel and his moose friend who are from Frostbite Falls, Minnesota, and who must evade the bombs of their evil nemeses, Boris and Natasha. The show also featured "Fractured Fairy Tales" and "Peabody's Improbable History".
5. Lemuel Gulliver

For a while Gulliver resided in Blefuscu and its better known neighbor Lilliput where a race of tiny people lived.

Prolific author Stephen King set several of his books in the fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine. Once such story was "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption", published in 1982, and set in Shawshank Prison. In the 1994 film based on the story, two of the prison inmates were Andy Dufresne and his friend Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding, played by Morgan Freeman.
7. Van-ZEE

Van-ZEE was a cousin of Kal-El (later Superman on Earth), and leader of Kandor, former capital city of the planet Krypton. Kandor first appeared in DC Comics' "Action Comics #242" in July 1958. Before Krypton was destroyed, the supervillain Brainiac miniaturized the city.

When Superman discovered it and its six million inhabitants, he rescued and relocated Kandor to his Fortress of Solitude.
8. Joe Swanson

Seth MacFarlane's animated show "Family Guy" first aired in 1999. The comedy is about the dysfunctional Griffin family, with the patriarch Peter, his wife Lois, their three kids and their talking dog, Brian. They live in Quahog, Newport County, Rhode Island. Peter can often be found at the watering hole, the Drunken Clam, with his friends, disabled cop Joe Swanson, Quagmire and Cleveland Brown.
9. Olaf

In the 2013 movie "Frozen", inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen", we visit Arendelle where Princess Elsa and her younger sister live. Elsa is about to become Queen but she fears her powers to create ice and snow, and she runs away. Anna sets out to find her, with the help of Kristoff, his reindeer Sven, and Olaf, the talking snowman built by Elsa and Anna in their childhood.
10. Thelma Harper

"Mama's Family" was originally a spinoff from a skit on "The Carol Burnett Show". The sitcom aired from 1983 to 1990. It features the widow, Thelma Harper, played by Vicki Lawrence. Thelma lives with her son Vint and his wife Naomi, along with her formerly delinquent grandson Bubba, in a small house in Raytown. Raytown is a blue collar suburban area in a state which is never mentioned.
