1. Galactus (a.k.a. "the devourer of worlds") had a herald named Silver Surfer (a.k.a. Norrin Radd), what is his power called?

Answer: The Power Cosmic

When Norrin Radd's home world was endangered by the mighty planet devouring being known as Galactus, he did what he felt necessary to save it, he offered his services to Galactus. Galactus granted Norrin "The Power Cosmic" and made him his herald.
2. Why wouldn't the United States army accept Steve Rogers a.k.a. "Captain America" during WWII?

Answer: He was a sickly young man

Upon seeing images of the war on a news reel, Steve Rogers was inspired to join the country's elite. The only problem was his weak body. When he was rejected he begged and pleaded to no avail. One of the higher-ups saw this young man's speech and offered to let him in on a top secret government experiment to create the perfect soldier. Rogers agreed and took a "super soldier serum".

After months of extensive training in just about every fighting style Rogers became an Olympic level athlete. When Dr. Reinstein (the only man who knew the Super Soldier Serum's Formula) was shot and killed by a Nazi spy, Captain America was born.

Answer: To protect his bad heart

Tony Stark, the head of Stark Industries, hurt his heart in Vietnam and risks having his heart stop under physically taxing situations. In order for Stark to follow the call to duty he had to use his own technology to build a suit to protect his heart.

After Matt Murdock lost his sight in a freak accident involving a truck full of radioactive isotopes, he attempted to train himself, but to no avail. A man named Stick appeared out of nowhere and taught Matt how to use all of his remaining senses to his advantage. Without the physical and mental training, Matt would not be the man he is today.

When Professor Charles Xavier founded "Xavier's School for gifted youngsters" he had high hopes for making the world a better place, a place where humans and mutants could live together in peace.
