"Life with Feathers" introduced Sylvester the Tuxedo cat to the world of television in 1945. Isadore "Friz" Freleng and Bob Clampett were the creators of the lovable Academy Award winning feline. Sylvester appeared in over one hundred cartoons.

Mel Blanc was a voice actor for more than forty years. He lived from 1908 to 1989. He is remembered for voicing many Warner Bros. characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Foghorn Leghorn, Pepe Le Pew, Porky Pig, Speedy Gonzales, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird, Tasmanian Devil and Yosemite Sam, plus many more characters from both the Looney Tunes and the Merrie Melodies cartoons. Mel Blanc also did work for Hanna-Barbera doing the voices of Barney Rubble from "The Flintstones" and Mr. Spacely from "The Jetsons".

His nickname was "The Man of a Thousand Voices".

"Thufferin Thuccotash" is Sylvester's catchphrase. It is believed that "Suffering Savior", an oath, was minced to produce "Suffering Succotash" in the lispy form of Sylvester. Sylvester utters these words for the first time in "Life With Feathers" (1945). Daffy Duck is also known for using the catchphrase from time to time but his own catchphrase is "You're desthpicable".

Just like the cartoon character Daffy Duck, Sylvester's sloppy lisp is based on the voice of producer Leon Schlesinger. Mr. Schlesinger (1884 to 1949) founded Leon Schlesinger Studios which later became the Warner Bros. Cartoons studio in 1944.
Both voices, provided by Mel Blanc, were the same. The adjustment of speeding up Daffy's voice in post-production made them seem different.

Granny was the co-star of many Sylvester and Tweety cartoons. Tex Avery created her and she is seen as the owner of Tweety Pie, Sylvester and also Hector the Bulldog. She was a regular character in "The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries" (1995-2001).

Tweety Bird (aka Tweety Pie and Tweety) is a yellow canary who made his first appearance in "A Tale of Two Kitties" in 1942. The original creation was by Robert Clampett and "Friz" Freling did the final redesign. Naturally Mel Blanc voiced Tweety until 1989. The personality and characteristics of Tweety were based on the "Mean Widdle Kid" character of Red Skelton.

The narrator is none other than Sylvester. Although he is continually trying to capture and eat Tweety he is always outsmarted by Tweety and Hector. When he unwittingly uncovers clues to any mysteries, as the narrator he claims to have some knowledge regarding the case being worked on.

Tweety rescues Aooga who becomes his girlfriend in this film. She is a pale orange canary and has her head feathers up in a ponytail. Aooga got her name from the "Awooga" sound that she makes.
In the movie, Granny is in hopes to raise enough money to save a park. Tweety sets off to go around the world in eighty days and collect the paw prints of eighty cats in the process, as a means to raise the money. Tweety and Aooga are able to save a children's park despite Sylvester's attempt to frame Tweety.

Answer: "Ain't She Tweet"

"Ain't She Tweet" (1952) has Tweety bird exclaiming "Dat puddy tat's got a pink skin under his fur coat"! Poor Sylvester, tries unsuccessfully to get past the bulldogs in the yard, but gets caught over and over again. Tweety remains safe, within his cage, inside Granny's house, throughout the cartoon.

Answer: Tweety is kidnapped

"Catty Cornered" involves the kidnapping of Tweety Bird by Rocky the gangster. The ransom is set at a million dollars and Rocky is holed up in an abandoned building with Tweety. Down in the alley Sylvester hears Tweety's cries for help and makes the decision to rescue him as his lunch.
