WWE "Judgment Day" 2002 Trivia Quiz

This quiz is about "Judgment Day" 2002. It was a real challenge trying to find this event but I tracked it down as part of a 2 for 1 deal on ebay that also netted me "Unforgiven" 2001. Anyway, enjoy!

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What move did Eddie Guerrero use to defeat Rob Van Dam and retain the Intercontinental Title?

Answer: A Backslide

Eddie Guerrero used a Backslide to defeat RVD. Guerrero had his feet on the ropes. RVD would win the Intercontinental title in an excellent Ladder match on the May 27, 2002 episode of "RAW."
2. Who was backstage with D-von, Batista, and Stacy Keibler before her match with Trish Stratus for the WWE Women's Title?

Answer: Vince McMahon

They all were gathered for a prayer. In a brief match Trish retained her title. Batista and D-von put Bubba through a table after the match.
3. What happened to Paul Heyman right before he secured the pinfall in a tag team match with Brock Lesnar against the Hardy Boyz?

Answer: He fell down.

Brock Lesnar did all the work and gave Jeff Hardy an "F-5". Heyman got very excited and wanted a tag so Brock tagged him in. Heyman was so excited that he fell down on his way into the ring. He then crawled over to Jeff Hardy and pinned him.
4. Who interfered in the 2 on 1 Handicap Match involving Ric Flair and The Big Show against Stone Cold Steve Austin?

Answer: X-Pac

X-Pac tried to interfere but got a "Stone Cold Stunner" for his effort. Austin promptly gave Ric Flair a "Stone Cold Stunner" for the win. It would be Austin's last appearance on Pay Per View prior to walking out of the WWE. He would return in time to defeat Eric Bischoff at "No Way Out" 2003.
5. Who was the assigned referee for the Hell In a Cell Match between Triple H and Chris Jericho?

Answer: Tim White

Tim White was the original referee assigned this match. He would aggravate an old shoulder injury when a furious Jericho threw him into one of the cell walls.
6. Still on the subject of the Hell In a Cell match, who replaced the original referee when he got hurt?

Answer: Mike Chioda

Mike Chioda replaced an injured Tim White. White would not referee a match again until "Wrestlemania XX".
7. Triple H won the Hell In a Cell Match. Did he win it in the ring?

Answer: No

Triple H and Jericho made their way to the top and Mike Chioda followed them up. Triple H gave Jericho a "Pedigree" and pinned him for the win. The match remains the only Hell In a Cell Match in WWE history where the winning pinfall did not take place in the ring. It also was one of the most brutal Hell In a Cell Matches ever. Then again, all Hell In a Cell Matches are.
8. Who referred to the WWF name by mistake during the Hair Vs Hair Match between Edge and Kurt Angle?

Answer: Jerry Lawler

The company changed its name to WWE from WWF because they lost a lawsuit brought against them by the World Wildlife Fund. This may help explain why the WWE sold a limited number of DVDs and videotapes of the event. I couldn't even find it on eBay for a while, but tracked it down and added it to my growing pay per view collection.

As for the match which was awesome, Edge won and shaved Kurt Angle bald despite the fact that Angle hid for awhile backstage. During the haircut Edge asked for Kurt's music to play as the fans added the chorus "You're Bald!" Angle has been bald ever since.
9. Who did Mr. McMahon choose as Rikishi's mystery partner against WWE Tag Team Champions Billy and Chuck?

Answer: Rico

Despite wrestling the match by himself Rikishi somehow won the match and the titles.
10. The Undertaker defeated Hulk Hogan to become a _____ time WWE Champion.

Answer: Four

The Undertaker won because Mr. MacMahon distracted the referee. The Undertaker won the WWE Undisputed Title for the first time. The win gave him 4 WWE Heavyweight reigns overall. He would hold the title until "Vengeance" on July 21, 2002. He faced the Rock and Kurt Angle in a Triple Threat Match.

The Undertaker wasn't even involved in the deciding pinfall. The Rock pinned Kurt Angle to become a record setting 7 time WWE Heavyweight Champion.
