The Fabulous Moolah with a little help for her friend Mae Young defeated Ivory to become the WWE Women's Champion. This was not Moolah's first run as the WWE Women's Champion; in fact she was the very first WWE Women's Champion. Moolah born Lillian Ellison was also the longest reigning WWE Women's Champion; her reign lasted nearly 30 years from 1956 to 1984.

When Moolah defeated Ivory, she was 76 years old which also made her the oldest WWE Women's Champion in history.

Answer: He made Triple H's match against Austin a No Holds Barred Match.

Triple H had tricked everyone on the "Smackdown" before "No Mercy" when he pretended to have been bitted in the face by a rattlesnake that Austin had placed in a room and locked Triple H in. Triple H was ready to relinquish the WWE Championship to Austin. Austin was hesitant to accept it but when Austin turned his back to Triple H, he had hit him with the belt and along with Chyna assaulted Austin.

It was revealed to be all an act just to infuriate Austin. Triple H explained that with Austin in such a rage that he might get himself disqualified in their match at "No Mercy". Vince would fix that by making the match a No Holds Barred Match.

Answer: Billy Gunn used a steel chair.

Hardcore had brought a steel chair into the ring but before Crash got to use it, Billy performed a "Fame-asser" on Crash on the chair. The referee saw that and disqualified The New Age Outlaws. In a rage, Road Dogg performed a "Pump Handle Slam" on Hardcore on the chair.

Jeff Jarrett hit Chyna with the WWE Intercontinental Championship belt and pinned her for the win. He was even announced as the winner of the match until the referee realized that Jarrett used his WWE Intercontinental Championship as a weapon. The referee ruled that the WWE Intercontinental Championship was not a household object and thus can not be used in the match.

The referee ordered that the match be restarted. In a rage, Jarrett was about to put the referee in the "Figure Four Leg Lock" when Chyna hit Jarrett with his own guitar. Chyna pinned Jarrett for the win and became the first female WWE Intercontinental Champion. Jarrett was so embarrassed by his loss that he left the WWE the next night.

The Rock and The British Bulldog had an intense rivalry. They both cost each other WWE Championship matches and The Rock even "Rock Bottomed" Bulldog into dog poop. The Rock defeated Bulldog after a "Rock Bottom" and a "People's Elbow".

Terri Runnels started the Terri Invitational Tournament in which teams competed in a series of matches to earn $100,000 and Terri's managerial services. Only two teams were invited to compete, Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz. The first team to win 3 out of the 5 matches won the tournament.

The Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian were tied with two wins each and a Ladder Match was made for "No Mercy". The Hardy Boyz were victorious and the "No Mercy" Ladder Match set the precedent for future Tag Team Ladder Matches.

Answer: The Rock

Mankind dedicated his match against Val Venis to The Rock. After challenging the winner of the WWE Championship match, The Rock was assaulted by Triple H as he was leaving the ring. Triple H had repeatedly hit The Rock with a sledgehammer in the chest.

As The Rock was receiving medical treatment, Mankind came and dedicated his match to him. Mankind also had personal reasons to face Val Venis. Val had stolen "Mr. Rocko", a sock with The Rock's face airbrushed on it that Mankind had made for him as a gift. Even though Val won the match, Mankind got "Mr. Rocko" back.

Answer: X-Pac

X-Pac wanted to prove to everyone that he could survive in the "land of the giants" without help from his tag team partner Kane. X-Pac won the match by hitting the "X-Factor" on Faarooq.

As Triple H was walking down to the ring, Vince McMahon ran behind him and grabbed his sledgehammer. Vince managed to take the weapon from him but got punched in the face for his trouble. This distraction allowed Stone Cold Steve Austin to get the first shot of the match. Towards the end of the match, The Rock came out and intended to hit Triple H with the sledgehammer but hit Austin instead. Triple H hit a "Pedigree" on The Rock and pinned Austin to retain the WWE Championship.
