At the end of the Falls Count Anywhere Match, Braun Strowman grabbed a box cutter and sliced open the ring mat exposing the wood holding the ring together. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt then hit Braun Strowman with a "Sister Abigail" twice on the exposed wood. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt scored the pinfall to become the WWE Universal Champion.

After the Falls Count Anywhere Match for the WWE Universal Championship ended, Roman Reigns made his return to the ring after a lengthy absence. Reigns speared both competitors. Reigns hit Strowman with a chair and the Fiend with another spear. The show ended with Reigns holding the WWE Universal Championship.
