1. How does Ash Ketchum first meet his friend Misty?

Answer: From being dragged out of a lake

Ash originally jumped into the lake to dodge a flock of Spearow. When Misty pulled Ash and Pikachu out by mistake with her fishing rod, she slapped Ash and made sure Pikachu was all right. Unfortunately, the slap was censored and was only seen in the Japanese pilot episode.

2. Where was the first encounter between Ash and Brock?

Answer: At a Gym Battle

Ash lost the first battle with Brock. He won the second time, however, thanks to Brock's dad, Flint. After losing, Brock decided to join Ash on his journey.

3. In what season did Ash first meet May?

Answer: Season 6

May started to travel with Ash because it was the beginning of her journey. Ash, also, wanted to begin anew. He decided to give all of his Pokemon to Professor Oak and start a brand new adventure with May.

4. Dawn joins Ash and his travels in what region?

Answer: Sinnoh

Dawn aspires to be a great coordinator like her mother. She becomes great friends with Ash and Brock and also becomes a valuable asset.

Misty once said to Ash, "You and I will be married someday too." Ash then nodded his head without realizing what she had just said, and shouts "WOAH?".
The whole scene was actually a dub mistake. Misty said something completely different in the Japanese version.

Answer: Rudy

Misty thought about the proposal for a while and later rejected him in order to stay with Ash. Rudy told Ash at the end of the episode "I hope you know, you are a very lucky guy, Ash". After Ash giving a confused look, Rudy says "You'll see someday".

At the end of season 5, Misty found out that her sisters won a trip around the world. As they were the current leaders of the Cerulean Gym, they needed Misty to look after the gym. Two episodes later, May took the role as the female heroine.
