The name of the lady is Joo Dee. The Dai Lee have an underground base under Lake Laogai which they use to brainwash women. Jet was also brainwashed in this place.

2. In the Episode 'The Great Divide' what is the name of the beasts/creatures that attack Team Avatar and the two tribes travelling with them?

Answer: Canyon Crawlers

The name of the creature is canyon crawler. The main reason they were attacked was because they brought food down into the canyon which attracted the crawlers. The crawlers are the problem but also the solution in this episode as they use them to get out of the canyon at the end.
