Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the following is Mr Krabs' life goal?

Answer: Earn as much money as possible

Mr Krabs, like anyone else, has a goal in life he strives towards every day. Mr Krabs is absolutely obsessed with money. He will, and has, done absurd things, even sometimes immoral things, just to earn himself an extra buck. He sold SpongeBob's soul for 62 cents even after SpongeBob put his life on the line, advocating for Mr Krabs towards the Flying Dutchman whom Krabs made the deal with.

He has disembodied himself just to recover a dime he lost in a drain. He forced SpongeBob to sell a contaminated Krabby Patty just because he didn't want to end up losing a dollar from it going to waste.

In short, Mr Krabs will do seemingly anything for even the most meager earnings.
2. Who owns the Chum Bucket, and is therefore Mr Krabs' rival?

Answer: Sheldon Plankton

Plankton has been Mr Krabs' rival for a very, very long time. Plankton's ultimate goal has been to steal the Krabby Patty formula so he can better compete with Mr Krabs. However, Mr Krabs thwarts Plankton's efforts in doing so every single time. While the Krusty Krab prospers, the Chum Bucket just about never sees any customers at all.
3. What type of crab is Mr Krabs?

Answer: This is never revealed in the show

The other three options are made up, and don't actually exist. Mr Krabs, as far as we know, is just a regular crab, and has never been formally confirmed by anyone working for the show to be any particular type of crab.
4. In "Fear of a Krabby Patty", how long does the Krusty Krab, Mr Krabs' restaurant, eventually stay open for?

Answer: 24 hours

The Krusty Krab remains open 24/7 for a period lasting 40 days. It was later revealed that Plankton keeping the Chum Bucket open for longer was just a scheme of his, to wear down the psyches of the Krusty Krab workers and make it easier to steal the Krabby Patty formula.
5. In one episode, Mr Krabs actually tries to get Squidward Tentacles killed. Why is this?

Answer: So Mr Krabs could sell his paintings at a higher price

In "Out of the Picture", Mr Krabs buys all of Squidward's paintings with the hope of re-selling them for more money. Mr Krabs gains an inquiry with an art appraiser, who tells him that a dead artist's paintings are worth more than those of a living one. Thus, Mr Krabs sends Squidward on dangerous Krabby Patty delivery trips with the hope that he'll get killed.

When that doesn't work, Mr Krabs directly goes to Squidward and attempts to kill him with a hammer.
6. In "Krusty Love", Mr Krabs falls in love with an influential background character, from whom SpongeBob has a lot to learn. Who is this?

Answer: Mrs Puff

The two eventually go on a couple of dates, before their 'relationship' ends at the end of the episode. Mr Krabs is shown to be incredibly awkward around women, and his money-obsessed ways would probably make a serious relationship difficult to uphold anyway.
7. Mr Krabs is a single father, with a daughter living under his own roof. Who is this?

Answer: Pearl

Pearl is a whale, while Mr Krabs is a crab. I graduated college with a bachelor's in Communications and minor in Political Science, so explaining that is well out of my scope of experience. Still, while Mr Krabs is generally quite cheap and abrasive, he at least shows a lot of compassion and love towards Pearl, who returns the favor and seems very happy to be living with Mr Krabs.
8. Which of the following statements about Mr Krabs is FALSE?

Answer: Mr Krabs has gone into a bank, armed, and robbed it

Thankfully, Mr Krabs hasn't quite gone as far as to hold up a bank to satisfy his monetary obsession. Still, he has earned well over a million dollars, even celebrating the occasion in the episode "Clams". On two occasions, Mr Krabs is able to lift the Krusty Krab with just his two hands, and he does so without breaking a sweat, proving that he has superhuman strength. Finally, in "Squilliam Returns" and "Imitation Krabs", Mr Krabs talks about his past experience in the Navy, even obtaining the nickname "Armor Abs Krabs" because he was the manliest member of the Navy in his time of service.
9. Mr Krabs gets in a lot of trouble in "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie" and is cryogenically held captive for a week by King Neptune. Why did Neptune do this?

Answer: Neptune thought Krabs stole and sold his crown

In actuality, Plankton stole Neptune's crown and forged a letter saying that Krabs had done so. The trickery worked, and Neptune was deceived into thinking Krabs stole his crown.
10. In "Hooky", Mr Krabs reveals that it has been a particularly long time since any of his workers have been given a paid break. What line does he utter that reveals this?

Answer: "No one has taken a break since the chum famine of '59!"

Mr Krabs yells this line angrily at SpongeBob as him and Patrick are playing around with hooks. This is clearly extremely illegal, but nobody seems to really care.
