After five years of not playing a big role, Takanuva finally returns and joins the Toa Nuva in Karda Nui. Unfortunately, he is trapped in an alternate universe where Toa rule as dictators. Also, he was attacked by a Shadow Leech and half of his Light was drained.

An interesting thing to note is that Kapura usually runs at a very slow speed, but in this case, he is forced to run fast. Vakama told him to practise the art of getting to places quickly by moving slowly.

In this universe, the Great Cataclysm never happened, so the Vahki were never abandoned. They remained as Metru Nui's security patrols, often assisted by Toa in keeping the peace.

The Staff of Protodermis was from when Odina was attacked by the Toa. The Krahkaan and Spear of Fusion was when the Toa hunted the Makuta to extinction. Strangely, there were no Nynrah Ghost Blasters.

The two Toa were Toa Hagah to Makuta Teridax in the current universe. However here, since the Toa Hagah concept never existed, they were just regular Toa, serving as escorts to the Matoran.

Kind of unexpected seeing a lesser known 2007 character here, but still. Lesovikk causes trouble around the Empire, stealing things that Tuyet might want, such as the Kanohi Vahi.

Pohatu formed a rebellion force after finding out that Toa Nidhiki led an assault to kill the Nynrah Ghost. Darkness and Krakua are both enemies to the Empire, but Roodaka was mentioned as an ally, helping create an "interesting exhibit" in the Archives.

There was a Toa of Plasma who incinerated the essence of Makuta Kojol. Gali and Tuyet, both Toa of Water, were present in the battle. A Toa of Magnetism was fighting Nuju and Guardian. Krakua was a Toa of Sonics, but was attacking the Coliseum, not guarding it.

Takanuva was sent by the Order of Mata Nui to journey to Karda Nui to assist the Toa Nuva in the fight against the Makuta. He also was sent to warn them about the Energy Storms that will ravage Karda Nui after Mata Nui's awakening.
