1. Where is the mandible found?

Answer: Jaw

One of the lesser known scientific names for a bone. It holds the lower teeth in place.
2. Where would you find the stirrup?

Answer: Ear

The stirrup is the smallest bone in the body.
3. Where on the human body would the ulna be found?

Answer: Forearm

The ulna and radius are the bones that make up the forearm. The positions of each are commonly mixed up.
4. In what part of the body would you find the phalanges?

Answer: Fingers and toes

Phalanges can be found at the end of the fingers and toes. Despite being very short in size, they are actually classified as long bones.
5. What is the name of the bone in the upper arm?

Answer: Humerus

The humerus, ulna and radius all join to make the elbow. It's not very humourous when you bang it though!
6. The cranium is found where?

Answer: Skull

The cranium is made up of 5 smaller parts. Its main function is to protect the brain.
7. In what part of the body would you find the femur?

Answer: Thigh

The femur is the longest bone in the body. In four legged animals, the femur is only found in the back legs.
8. The fibula can be found where?

Answer: Shin

The fibula and tibia make up the lower leg (shin). It's very easy to mix these up. The fibia is the thinner of the two bones.
9. Carpals would be found in what part of the human body?

Answer: Wrist

Carpals are found in the wrist. Tarsals can be found in the toes. Their main function is to increase the moveability of the wrist.
10. The vertebrae are found where?

Answer: Spine

Some people think the spine is the biggest bone in the body. It isn't - it's made up of lots of small bones (the vertebrae). The femur (thigh) is the biggest.
