Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. A secret agency on Club Penguin was created in November 2005. But in May 2010, Herbert P. Bear destroyed the headquarters and this agency ended. What was this secret spy group called?

Answer: Penguin Secret Agency

The Penguin Secret Agency (usually shortened to P.S.A.) was run by the Director. To enter, penguins had to be 30 days old, and pass a test. Once they passed the test, they got a Spy Phone and could access the secret headquarters. Agent G (known as Gary the Gadget Guy to other penguins) gave penguins missions to complete to help save the island, but when one mission went wrong, the P.S.A.'s enemy, Herbert P. Bear, destroyed the P.S.A. headquarters with a popcorn bomb.
2. When Club Penguin's first secret agency was destroyed, another building was destroyed with it. Which building?

Answer: The Sports Shop

The Sports Shop was also destroyed by Herbert's popcorn bomb because it contained a secret entrance in the changing rooms to the headquarters. The Sports Shop also contained G's (Gary the Gadget Guy's) lab, although this was not hidden, but could only be seen in P.S.A. (or a couple of E.P.F.) missions.
3. On May 27, 2010, a new building was officially announced. Hidden inside the building was an entrance to a secret agency. What was the building called?

Answer: Everday Phoning Facility

Back before the Penguin Secret Agency was destroyed, there was a cupboard in the P.S.A. headquarters that led to the old E.P.F. headquarters. Penguins could access this by buying the Nintendo D.S. game "Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force".

In May 2010, penguins could become E.P.F. agents a different way - by passing a test in the Everyday Phoning Facility that tested stealth, tactics, speed and aim.
4. On January 13, 2011, something important happened affecting E.P.F. agents. What was it?

Answer: A game called "System Defender" was created.

The mission "The Veggie Villain" was the P.S.A.'s final mission. Field Ops were needed for the first time on 15th June 2010. Agent G's E.P.F. Spy Phone was first used in June 2010 as it was given to E.P.F. agents when they joined.

System Defender is a tower defense game - players have to build cannons to fight enemy creatures. Defeating enemy creatures gives players some form of currency (in this case a lightning bolt) which they can use to build more cannons.

In this tower defense game, there are 3 types of cannons - red (quick and cheap but little damage), orange (very quick, a bit more expensive and a fair amount of damage) and purple (very slow, very expensive, lots of damage).

There are also 3 types of bots - red, orange, purple. There are also bosses; bosses need more damage to defeat them. Sometimes bosses drop gears, which players use to upgrade their cannons - it makes them slightly faster and do a bit more damage. Gears can be bought but are extremely expensive.
5. There were many ways for agents to get medals, which they could use to buy special agent clothing. Which of the following options was NOT a way they could get medals?

Answer: Completing a mission for the first time

Completing a mission gave you a different kind of medal, and a stamp.

Field Ops are available every week (except on occasion). You have to find something, and then complete a mini-game (mini-games are re-used, multiple times).

Completing a System Defender level for the first time will get you up to 3 medals, and often a stamp.

The "Battle of Doom" was a battle against Herbert and Klutzy, who were fighting through 3 Hydra heads. Every so often they would change which head they were in. Each head did a different thing - the red head spat fireballs, the blue head froze areas of your "battle field" and the yellow head shot laser beams at you. Each head had to be defeated in a different way - throwing snowballs at the red head's mouth, pouring lava over the blue head and standing on the ground in the right place to defeat the yellow head.
6. The 6th System Defender level, released August 18th 2011, was crucial to secret agents. It helped them find an enemy that they had tried to capture so many times. It was called ___. Fill in the blank.

Answer: Track Herbert

While both "Herbert Attacks!" and "Klutzy Attacks!" are real levels, the sixth level and the one that helped agents find an enemy was called "Track Herbert". There is a stamp (extreme level) you can get if you complete this level.
7. 6 days after the 6th System Defender level was released (August 24th, 2011), Operation: Hibernation began. This operation coincided with which party?

Answer: The Great Snow Race

Although all those parties were real, some of them are much older than the correct answer. The only "Winter Luau" party was in 2006, The "Great Snow Maze" appeared in 2009 and the "Festival of Snow" came in 2007.
8. What was the aim of Operation: Hibernation?

Answer: To capture Herbert and put him in hibernation

Operation: Hibernation aimed to capture Herbert (after locating him in "Track Herbert") and put him in hibernation. Herbert was, at the start of this operation, sleeping in a cave located in the Toughest Mountain. To reach him, agents had to go through a series of obstacles.
9. Which of the tasks below did agents have to do in Operation: Hibernation?

Answer: Go through a laser maze and disable a security system

There were three parts to the laser maze: the first part, the second part (where agents had to find a key, which was also a pin) and the third part (where agents had to reach the door and use the key). Each part got progressively harder.

After this maze, agents reached Herbert's lair. They had to throw snowballs to disable the security system and then build an air conditioner around Herbert and Klutzy (although Klutzy escaped).
10. Herbert escaped from his cave in which party?

Answer: Underwater Expedition 2012

The "New Year's Day Party 2011" lasted from December 29th 2011 to 5th January 2012 (appearing the day after the Holiday Party ended).
The "Underwater Expedition 2012" lasted from January 26th to January 31st.
The "Fashion Show 2012" lasted from February 1st to February 14th.
The "Holiday Party 2011" lasted from December 15th to December 28th.

After Herbert escaped, agents received a Field Op telling them to find any large orders placed for food (since Herbert must have been extremely hungry after a 5 month nap). Agents who complete this find an order for 100 pizzas the day Herbert escaped: 50 veggie (Herbert's favourite) and 50 seafood (which Herbert despises).
