Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Flotsam, Jetsam, now I've got her, boys. The boss is ____."

Answer: on a roll

From "The Little Mermaid". It's the song that Ursula the Sea Witch sings to Ariel to convince her to give up her voice for legs.
2. "The ______ is always greener, in somebody else's lake."

Answer: seaweed

A very fun sea orchestral number lead by Sebastian in "The Little Mermaid".
3. "...what a tasty swine, all you gotta do is ______."

Answer: get in line

"What do you want me to do... dress in drag and do the hula?" A very funny short scene from "The Lion King".
4. "I'd blame _____, except he hasn't got 'em."

Answer: parents

The opening song from "Aladdin".
5. "Look at me, I will never pass for a _______ bride."

Answer: perfect

My favourite Disney song, from the animated feature "Mulan".
6. "Look at this trove, treasures untold. How many wonders can one ______ hold?"

Answer: cavern

A close second for my favourite. It's the song from "The Little Mermaid" that Ariel sings in the cave where she keeps her collection of "Land Treasures", artifacts that have been collected from the shore or thrown from passing ships... none of which she knows the actual purpose of.
7. "There's something sweet, and almost kind, but he was _____ and he was coarse and unrefined"

Answer: mean

A short but sweet song from "Beauty and the Beast", where Belle realises that she is falling in love with the Beast.
8. "I'm gonna be the _______, like no king was before"

Answer: mane event

Another fun song, this time from "The Lion King". The song is primarily sung by a young Simba and Nala as they prepare to ditch Zazu, who has been sent to watch over the two of them.
9. "All those same people who scold you, what they'd give just for the __________."

Answer: right to hold you

A tip of the hat to the golden era with this song from "Dumbo". Very sweet and kinda sad.
10. "Put them together and _______? Bibbety Bobbity Boo"

Answer: what have you got

A classic song from Disney's "Cinderella".
11. "You're a spineless, pale, ________ lot, and you haven't got a clue."

Answer: pathetic

One of my favourite songs, from the newer Disney creation "Mulan". It's the song that Chang Li sings while attempting to whip the army into shape. During the song, Mulan is kicked out of the army but then earns her way back by climbing to the top of a pole to collect an arrow, with heavy weights hanging to her wrists. Very cool.
12. "I thought my heart had learnt its lesson. It ________ when you start out."

Answer: feels so good

Easily the best song from "Hercules", Megara sings this with the Muses as back up as she denies falling in love with Hercules.
13. "I ask for ________ angels to bless me."

Answer: God and his

A tricky one; this is from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", sung by Esmeralda in the cathedral. This line is actually sung by the chorus of other worshippers in the church.
14. "Safe behind these windows and these parapets of ______."

Answer: stone

Also from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". Sung primarily by Quasimodo, in the beginning of the movie. He is wishing that he could be one of the people who lives outside the bell tower.
15. "Just one day and then I swear I'll be _____."

Answer: content

Same song as before. Hey, it's a good song.
16. "You can't have him; you don't love him. All you've done up to now is ________."

Answer: break his heart

This song isn't from an animated feature, it's from an early production of "Pete's Dragon". In this song, the Goggins are trying to take Pete back home with them to be their slave.
17. "Mauve, beige and ________ and every colour in between."

Answer: ultramarine

From "The Wonderful World of Colour", sung by Ludwig von Drake. A very funny song.
18. "It's clear from your _________ expression, the lights are not all on upstairs."

Answer: vacant

Sung by Scar, Simba's evil uncle, as he plots to kill Mufasa and Simba and become king in "The Lion King".
19. "Try the grey stuff, it's delicious. Don't believe me? Ask ______."

Answer: the dishes

Lumiere the candlestick sings it in "Beauty and the Beast" as Belle is presented with a "culinary caberet" for her first night in the castle.
20. "They laugh at your jokes, you think you're doing quite well, but _____, boy."

Answer: you're in danger

Not actually sung by any of the characters, this song from "Toy Story" attempts to show the demise of Woody's position as leader of the playroom.
21. "But behind that _______ facade, I'm afraid she's rather odd."

Answer: fair

Again from "Beauty and the Beast", this time from the opening song. It is mainly sung by the townspeople, with Belle and Gaston.
22. "She goes around in circles 'til she's very very _____."

Answer: dizzy

The cutest little song from "Cinderella", sung by the house mice that she has always been kind to as they prepare to sew her a gown for the ball.
23. "But no, it can't be true. I could ____ if I wanted to."

Answer: fly

Also from "Toy Story". This time it is Buzz's dilemma being sung about as he comes to the realisation that he is, after all, only a toy.
24. "The _________ and the river are my brothers."

Answer: rainstorm

From "Pocahontas". She is attempting to explain to John Smith about the wonder and the sacred nature of the earth.
25. "And in my twisted face, there's not ________ of anything that even hints at kindness."

Answer: the slightest trace

Okay, so it's not technically from a movie, but it is still Disney. This is from the stage production of "Beauty and the Beast", a very dramatic and beautiful deep song sung by the Beast as he laments his love for Belle.
