Easter Island is a small isolated island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean. It was first settled by Polynesians around 400 A.D. The island is famous for its huge stone heads, known as moai. They are believed to be depictions of their deified ancestors.

You can find the massive limestone formations known as the Elephant Rocks on a piece of private farm land near Duntroon, New Zealand. When the water retreated and this area was subjected to wind erosion, these magnificent monoliths were born.

Erdut Castle is not an ancient Mayan ruin, but rather an ancient Croatian castle that was built in the 14th century near the Danube River. The castle sits on the only bluff in an otherwise flat area giving excellent view of any threats.
