Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Snagglepuss and Ranger Smith

Answer: The Yogi Bear Show

Yogi Bear says that he is "smarter than the average bear". With his sidekick Boo-Boo, Yogi usually succeeds in outsmarting Ranger Smith in his quest, stealing picnic baskets from people who are camping in Jellystone Park. Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle had their own separate showing on "The Yogi Bear Show". "Heavens to Murgatroyd!"
2. Rufus Ruffcut and Sawtooth

Answer: Wacky Races

In "Wacky Races" eleven eccentric cars race against each other. Dick Dastardly and Muttley in their car called The Mean Machine always try to win by cheating. Rufus Ruffcut the lumberjack drives a car with circular saw wheels called The Buzzwagon. Sawtooth is his beaver companion. "Drat and double drat."
3. Benny the Ball and Choo-Choo

Answer: Top Cat

A gang of cats led by Top Cat (T.C.) live in an alley in Manhattan. Benny the Ball and Choo-Choo are two of Top Cat's gang. Top Cat wants to get rich so he tries many scams and tricks to get what he wants. Officer Dibble works for the police department and he sees it as his duty to prevent Top Cat from doing anything dishonest. "I've caught you red-handed this time Top Cat!"
4. Yankee Doodle Pigeon and Klunk

Answer: Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines

Dastardly and his dog Muttley (with Klunk and Zilly) are aircraft pilots who have been recruited into the Vulture Squadron. Their mission is to stop Yankee Doodle Pigeon from carrying the messages he has in his satchel. Klunk is always inventing a thingy-me-bob with which to catch the pigeon. Only Zilly can understand what Klunk is saying as Klunk speaks with squeals, plops, whistles, grunts and other funny noises and a rubbery distorted face. "What's he say? What's he say?"
5. Cosmo Spacely and Rosie

Answer: The Jetsons

The Jetsons are a futuristic space-age family who live in Orbit City. George Jetson travels to and from work in his flying car. Apart from Jane, Judy and Elroy, the Jetson family have a dog called Astro and a chatty, smart, battery-operated robotic maid called Rosie. She does the household chores and looks after the children. "Never fear while Rosie's here."
6. Barney and Betty Rubble

Answer: The Flintstones

In the opening credits, the well-known song has the words, "Meet the Flintstones. They're a modern stone age family". Fred and Wilma Flintstone live next door to their friends Barney and Betty Rubble. The town of Bedrock has "modern" stone age inventions like stone televisions and home gadgets that are animals. They have a pet dinosaur called Dino. "Yabba dabba doo!"
7. Velma Dinkley and Shaggy Rogers

Answer: Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

In "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!", four teenagers (Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy), with their dog, Scooby-Doo, travel around in a colourful van called the Mystery Machine. They go to various spooky locations to solve the cases of hauntings and unexplained sightings of monsters and aliens.

When Scooby and Shaggy become separated from Fred, Daphne and Velma, they take the opportunity to look for food (especially Scooby snacks) to gratify their greedy appetites. "Alright gang, let's split up and search for clues."
8. Josephine, Valerie and Melody

Answer: Josie and the Pussycats

Josie and the Pussycats (Josie, Valerie and Melody) are an all-girl group who tour the world playing their music, but are faced with extreme adventures and too many villains. Touring with this group are manager Alexander (similar to Shaggy), his sister Alexandra (always complaining and arguing), roadie Alan (similar to Fred), and Sebastian (Alexandra's cat who sniggers like Muttley).

When Captain Nemo sinks the Pussycats' cruise ship, Melody says, "Now I'll have to dry the dishes all over again". "Forget the dishes. We'll have to get out of here."
9. Mr. Peevly and Square Bear

Answer: Help!... It's the Hair Bear Bunch!

Hair Bear, Bubi Bear and Square Bear are the Hair Bear Bunch who live in Wonderland Zoo. They enjoy adventures, trying to escape, and getting up to all sorts of tricks and antics. Trying to stop them are the zookeeper Mr. Eustace Peevly and his assistant Lionel Botch who continually echoes whatever Mr. Peevly has just said. Hair Bear is suitably named with his large Afro hairstyle. "You're not fooling me. One of these days you'll slip and zip."
10. The Thing and Invisible Girl

Answer: Fantastic Four

"Fantastic Four" first appeared in Marvel Comics, but in 1967 Hanna-Barbera introduced us to the four superheroes Mister Fantastic (Reed), Invisible Girl (Susan Storm), The Thing (Ben) and Human Torch (Johnny Storm). They gained their superpowers whilst on a mission in space.

In "Fantastic Four" we see them confronting villains, who also have superpowers, and bringing these villains to justice. "It's clobbering time."
