When Harry, Ron and Hermione were sneaking out to go to the third floor, they saw a toad in the common room and said, "Trevor, what are you doing, you're not supposed to be here!" Then Neville turned around in the chair and said, "Neither should you." Hermione then petrified him using the body-bind curse: "Petrificus Totalus".

Answer: Madam Malkin

The full name of the shop is "Madam Malkin's Robes for all Occasions". Harry meets Draco there early in this book while they are being fitted for robes. Then meet again there in the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" while Draco is there with his mother, before Ron Harry, and Hermione go to Fred and George's shop.

Answer: Phoenix feather

"It's curious that you should be destined for this wand, because its brother, gave you that scar." - Ollivander

The Phoenix's feather that is in Harry's wand belonged to Fawkes. The wand of Tom Riddle, or Voldemort also has a phoenix feather that came from Fawkes. Therefore, they are "brothers", coming from the same exact core. The wand broke in the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". At the end of that book (not the movie), he fixes it using the Elder Wand.

"Is that a REAL spell?" - Hermione

Hermione came into Harry and Ron's train compartment, and asked if they've seen a toad, when Neville had already come by minutes before asking if they'd seen it. Then she saw Ron's wand out and got excited, asking to watch him do magic. Apparently, it was a trick from Fred and George. You know them, always fooling around.

Answer: Reparo!

Reparo is the mending charm. Harry uses it throughout the book for practice, or to fix things he accidentally broke. Hermione usually uses it to fix Harry's glasses. In the movie of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", Dumbledore uses it to clean the house Slughorn was staying in.

Answer: A pig's tail

This is one of the few times Harry smiles in the movie. :) It took Vernon and Petunia months to get it removed. Hagrid isn't allowed to use magic, since he was expelled from Hogwarts, but he secretly hid the two broken parts of his wand in the umbrella, and uses that instead of a wand.

"We haven't looked in the Restricted section." - Hermione

Hermione read tons of wizardry books before coming to Hogwarts, and tons while at Hogwarts. Some of her favorites are "Hogwarts: a History", and all of the books by Gilderoy Lockhart. If there are questions that need answers, she goes to books. Sometimes, though, all the answers don't come through books. In "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", the answer to who Nicolas Flamel was came from the back of a chocolate frog card.

"You mean that thing has a name?" - Hermione

Hagrid has always had a knack for magical creatures. He also had a pet dragon (briefly), and a hippogriff, once named Buckbeak, then renamed Witherwings for cover. He was promoted to Care of Magical Creatures Professor in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban".

Answer: Wizard's chess

"That's Wizard's Chess." - Ron

Ron is a master at wizard's chess. He won the game to get Harry to the Sorcerer's Stone. He won the Griffindor house fifty points for "the best game of wizard's chess ever played".

Answer: Quirrell

"No one would ever guess p-p-poor s-s-stuttering p-p-Professor Quirrell." - Quirrell
Throughout the book, Harry, Ron and Hermione thought that Snape was the one trying to steal the stone, but he was really trying to stop Quirrell from getting the stone. They thought Snape was trying to kill Harry at the Quidditch match, but Snape was muttering the counter-curse to Quirrell's curse. It was actually Quirrell who set the troll free on Halloween, as an excuse to go to the third floor corridor, and Snape followed to make sure he didn't get it, and got injured by Fluffy biting him.
