Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who is not related (by blood) to Firestar?

Answer: Sandstorm

Sandstorm is Firestar's mate, not related to him. Cloudtail is his nephew, Leafpool is his daughter, and Whitewing/Whitepaw is Cloudtail's daughter.

Fireheart is from the Twolegplace, the Clans' name for a human city/town. His kittypet name is Rusty, and he can only be related to cats descended from him, and not those who are the same age as him: Sandstorm is not his sister, and he is not related to any cats from ThunderClan when he arrives as Rusty, so he is not in any way related to her.
2. What colour is Smudge (kittypet) from "Into the Wild"?

Answer: Black and white

"Into the Wild" clearly states that Rusty's kittypet friend has black and white fur. Smudge is Fireheart's former friend from Twolegplace, but Rusty decides to leave him to join the Clans. Fireheart does not see Smudge again except once, when he discovers that Smudge has been to the "cutter" (vet).
3. Who are the three cats who are said to "have the power of the stars in their paws" in the book "Omen of the Stars, Fading Echoes"?

Answer: Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovepaw

The cats are Jayfeather, Lionblaze and Dovepaw. It turns out that Hollyleaf isn't actually one of the three because she dies in "Warriors: Power of Three, Sunset". Firestar can't be because the prophecy decrees that "There will be three, kin of your kin, that hold the power of the stars in their paws." The prophecy was made to Firestar, and he cannot be kin of himself. Rainfur does not exist. That was just to confuse you. Jayfeather can walk in other cats' dreams, and tell their feelings and (sometimes) their thoughts. Lionblaze is a fierce warrior and will never lose a battle. Dovepaw can smell and hear things that should be too far away for a cat to hear/smell.
4. When the Clans arrive at their new lakeside home in "Warriors: The New Prophecy, Starlight", Leafpaw dicovers a new "Moonstone" to use for sharing tongues with StarClan. What is this new "Moonstone" named?

Answer: The Moonpool

It is The Moonpool. It is so named because the place Leafpaw discovered turned out to actually be a small pool of water, and not a stone or rock. The medicine cats have been very worried about finding somewhere they can use to share tongues with StarClan, and one night Spottedleaf visits Leafpaw and leads her up into the hills and to a small pool that reflects the starlight in the water.
5. In "Warriors: The New Prophecy, Dawn" Tallstar decides to make Crowpaw a warrior. Just before the ceremony, Crowpaw asks Tallstar to name him Crowfeather. Why is this?

Answer: In memory of Feathertail, whom he loved

Feathertail was his love, not his kit. Anyway, if Feathertail was his kit, she would be Featherkit or Featherpaw. Jayfeather was not even born yet, and of course it is not because he likes birds (but imagination is okay).
6. In "Warriors: Omen of the Stars, Night Whispers", Dovepaw falls in love (briefly) with a warrior from another Clan. Who is it, and what Clan is he from?

Answer: Tigerheart of ShadowClan

It is Tigerheart, but not for long. Dovepaw gets mad at him because he is training in the Dark Forest. Owlwhisker is quite a bit older than Dovepaw, Berrynose is from ThunderClan and already has a mate (Poppyfrost!) and Thrushfeather does not exist. I, personally, am glad Dovepaw doesn't break the warrior code and love a ShadowClan warrior!
7. In "Warriors: Omen of the Stars, Sign of the Moon", Jayfeather goes to the mountains (and back in time) to visit the newly established Tribe of Rushing Water. He is forced to choose a "Stoneteller" (leader) for them so that they can survive in their new environment. Who does Jayfeather (or Jay's Wing, at that time) appoint to be the first Stoneteller?

Answer: Half Moon

Half Moon. Jayfeather secretly loves her, but he knows he cannot have her, and makes her the first Stoneteller instead. Lion's Roar is only a kit at the time and Owl Feather is a queen (or kit-mother). And Jayfeather can hardly appoint himself Stoneteller, he's not even from their time and he belongs to a Clan that needs his medicine cat skills.
8. Who falls into Tigerclaw's trap for Bluestar beside the Thunderpath in "Warriors: Fire and Ice"?

Answer: Cinderpaw

It is Cinderpaw. This is the reason she has a crippled leg and cannot become a warrior. Fireheart doesn't, because obviously he is still alive and everything to become a warrior and leader. Bluestar could not go to Tigerclaw because she was sick in her den with Whitecough. Brackenpaw continues his training in the book after Cinderpaw's accident, so could not have been caught in the trap. Tigerclaw was trying to cause Bluestar to lose another life, so he could be one step closer to being leader. Little does he know that Fireheart is hot on his trail...
9. In "A Dangerous Path" (original series book #5) Tigerstar sets a trap for ThunderClan in hope of acquiring extra territory. He lures a pack of savage blood-hungry dogs to the ThunderClan camp using a trail of rabbits and a ThunderClan queen, Brindleface, at the end. This plot is discovered by Fireheart, but before that two resentful apprentices, Brightpaw and Swiftpaw, go on their own to Snakerocks (where the dogs are). Swiftpaw is killed and Brightpaw is gravely injured. When she is brought back to Cinderpelt, Fireheart fears she will die, and persuades Bluestar to perform a ritual that gives a dying apprentice a warrior name to take to StarClan. What is the name Bluestar gives to Brightpaw?

Answer: Lostface

Bluestar is crazed by her own lost faith in StarClan and gives Brightpaw a cruel name to remind them of what they have "done". It turns out that Lostface doesn't actually die, so later when Fireheart becomes leader, Cloudtail asks him to rename her and her name is changed to Brightheart.
10. In "Warriors: Power of Three, Sunset" Ashfur, a noble warrior of ThunderClan, is discovered to have been murdered for an unknown reason. At the end of the book, we discover who really killed him, and why. Who killed Ashfur?

Answer: Hollyleaf

Hollyleaf killed him so that he would not tell the Clans at the gathering about her and her brothers' parentage. Leafpool discovered this because of a scrap of fur in dead Ashfur's claws, belonging to Hollyleaf. Also, she tells her brothers in the last three chapters. ThunderClan never finds out.
