This is evident in the episode 'Bonky Fever' where Mikey was the very first to turn ten years old out of the rest of the gang.

In the episode 'The Beauty Pageant', you hear each of the Ashleys' full last names mentioned, including Spinelli's.

3. How did Spinelli get the first name of "Ashley"?

Answer: She was named after her great aunt.

In the episode 'First Name's Ashley' Spinelli tells her friends that she was named after her Great Aunt Ashley, the first woman ever to apparently win the Alaskan Iditarod. Spinelli also said that she never met the woman but claims that she was a family hero. This was the reason why Spinelli could not change her first name.

Mikey was the one who named the cat Stuart, assuming at first that it was a male, until they all discovered at the end of the episode that the cat had a litter of kittens, making it of course a female, and so it was then given the name of Stella by Spinelli. Gee, I sure hope that I haven't spoiled the ending of this episode for anyone at all, ah what the heck I'm pretty sure that everyone has seen this one more than once.
