Actually Laura Lee Hope was a pseudonym for a number of writers. The Stratemeyer Syndicate were instrumental in a number of series such as the "Hardy Boys" and "Nancy Drew". Edward Stratemeyer is believed to have written the first books with various other writers contributing to the rest of the series.

There are a lot of inconsistencies through the series of books which confirms the different writers of them.
2. The "Bobbsey Twins" books are about two sets of fraternal twins. The majority of the books written kept the twins at the same age. What ages were they?

Answer: Six and twelve

Other than a couple of the earlier books the twins stayed the same age through their adventures, which was six and twelve. The first three books had the twins being eight and four, with the fourth book being nine and five. The syndicate then decided for all the subsequent books that the twins would be always six and twelve years old.

Answer: Flossie and Fredric

Both set of twins were fraternal twins and it was considered important that both sets of twins were one boy and one girl. Flossie and Fredric were the youngest of the Bobbsey twins, described as blonde haired and blue eyed children and kept at six years of age.
