1. Matterhorn, Everest and Kilimanjaro.

Answer: Mountain

Everest is the highest mountain in the world and stands 8,848 metres above sea level. It can be found in the Asian country of Nepal. Matterhorn is a 4,478 metre high mountain in the Alps which borders Switzerland and Italy. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is the highest mountain in Africa, standing 5,895 metres above sea level.
2. Angel, Victoria and Iguazu.

Answer: Waterfall

Angel Falls in Venezuela is the highest waterfall in the world. The water plummets over a cliff which is 979 metres high. Victoria Falls is situated along the Zambezi River in Africa. It is the largest waterfall in the world because of its size, and the volume of water that flows over its edge. Iguazu Falls is in South America between the countries of Argentina and Brazil.

It is not just one waterfall, but a collection of 275 smaller falls.
3. Borneo, Madagascar and Great Britain.

Answer: Island

An island is a land feature which is completely surrounded by water. Borneo is the third largest island in the world and can be found in the South China Sea. Madagascar is located off the east coast of Africa and is surrounded by the Indian Ocean. Great Britain consists of England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

It is surrounded by many bodies of water, including the Atlantic Ocean, North Sea, Irish Sea and English Channel.
4. Baikal, Superior and Titicaca.

Answer: Lake

Lake Baikal is the deepest freshwater lake in the world and can be found in Russia. It was formed around 25 million years ago which also makes it the oldest lake in the world. The largest lake in the world is Superior, and can be found on the border between North America and Canada. Titicaca is the largest lake in South America.

It is situated in the Andes mountain range and this makes it the highest lake in the world.
5. Black, Amazon and Sherwood.

Answer: Forest

The Amazon is the largest forest in the world and covers approximately 5.5 million square kilometres. Situated in South America, it is home to venomous snakes, biting piranha fish and the poison dart frog, as well as up to 40,000 plant species. The Black Forest in Germany is much smaller but its name was given to the popular dessert containing chocolate, cherries and cream.

Sherwood Forest in England was home to the legendary Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men.
6. Hudson, Seine and Murray.

Answer: River

The Hudson is a river in North America which travels north to south for 507 km. It is the main waterway which runs through New York City. The Seine is a river in France which snakes its way through the capital city of Paris. The Murray River is Australia's longest river at 2,508 km in length.
7. Antarctica, Gobi and Atacama.

Answer: Desert

A desert is a barren area of land where very little or no rain, or snow, falls. Antarctica is the largest desert in the world and is where the South Pole is situated. It is the coldest and windiest desert in the world. The Gobi is the fifth largest desert in the world and can be found in Asia.

The climate in the Gobi is full of extremes with temperatures ranging from -40C in the winter to 40C in the summer. The Atacama Desert in South America is the driest in the world with an average rainfall of 1mm a year.
8. Krakatoa, Eyjafjallajokull and Mauna Loa.

Answer: Volcano

A volcano is an opening in the earth's surface where molten rock and gas escape from. Some volcanoes are still active where others are dormant. Krakatoa is a volcanic island in Indonesia. They had a massive eruption in 1883 which killed over 36,000 people. Eyjafjallajokull is a volcano in Iceland which erupted in 2010, causing volcanic ash to spread over large parts of Europe.

The largest volcano in the world is Mauna Loa on the Hawaiian islands.
9. Bondi, Copacabana and Waikiki.

Answer: Beach

A beach is an area of coastline which is between land and sea, sometimes covered with rock and shingle, but also covered in sand. Many beaches in the world are popular with tourists for sunbathing and swimming. Bondi is a famous beach in Australia where a lot of people enjoy wind surfing. Copacabana in Brazil has a beach which is four kilometres long.

The name Waikiki in Hawaiian means "spouting waters". It is a beach in Honolulu which attracts millions of tourists each year.
10. Lascaux, Hang Son Doong and Fingal's.

Answer: Cave

A cave is an underground cavern which has naturally been eroded away by water and silt over thousands of years. Lascaux caves in France are world famous for their cave paintings. The paintings of animals and people were drawn 20,000 years ago. Hang Son Doong in Vietnam is the world's largest cave.

It is a collection of caves, but the largest is five km long. Fingal's Cave in Scotland is famous for its acoustics. This is the natural sound of waves eerily echoing through the cavern.
