Brock had to look after his brothers and sisters because his father left to become a Pokemon trainer, and his mother died of a broken heart. But after the return of Flint (Brock's father), Brock was alowed to leave and join Ash, Misty and Pikachu on their Pokemon Journey.

Answer: Electric, Bug and Flying

They were Pikachu (Electric), Butterfree (Bug) and Pigeotto (Flying). Metapod evolved into Butterfree just before they left the Viridian Forest.

The Maiden rock can be found at Maiden's Peak. It is a stone statue of a beautiful young woman who is waiting for her true love to return.
