God wrote down all the names of the people who had loved and honored him with their lives. He kept all their names in the Book of Life. All the people of the world had to come to His throne to be judged. If their name was found in the Book of Life, they got to spend eternity with God in the Holy City. If their name was not found in the Book of Life, they had to spend an eternity suffering for the evil things they had committed. (Revelation 20)

The Holy City was a beautiful place that was as clear as crystal and brighter than any gem on earth. In the Holy City, God promised there would be no tears, no sorrow, no pain, and no death.
