"The All Night Horror Show" was one of Gordon's short stories based on something he had heard about Tanith Low, and "The Vanishing Night" was a novel based in a Shibbach. "The Grotesquery" is a Faceless One that has been brought to life in the second book.

He was killed by Nefarian Serpine, one of Mevolent's Three Generals. The others were called Lord Vile and Baron Vengeous. Nice names.
