The babysitters go to the airport to pick up Dawn, Mary Anne's stepsister, who lives in California. While waiting for the flight to come in, they grab a bite to eat. A man next to them starts choking, but luckily, Sharon, Mary Anne's stepmom, knows the Heimlich maneuever and saves his life.

Jamie Newton does get sick in a book where Stacey is sitting. However, that book is "Stacey vs. the BSC."

Stacey has had diabetes for a while, but in one book, her condition gets worse, and she ends up in the hospital.

These are all dangerous items for children--something that the babysitters must keep in mind when sitting for their charges. When a hot dog is cut into little pieces, those pieces are often big enough for a child to choke on. So those pieces must also get cut in half, until they're small enough for children to eat.

The plastic part of the pacifier is made too large for a baby to swallow. However, the baby could bite off the rubber nipple and choke on it.

A calculator doesn't pose much risk in terms of choking, but the battery is potentially dangerous.

Shelley Golden takes the class on a field trip to the Stoneybrook emergency room. While there, they meet Dr. Johanssen, the mother of one of their charges. They also see a three year old boy who's having a febrile seizure.

Febrile seizures are fairly common in small children between the ages of three and six. They usually happen when a child's temperature rises too high. Apparently, Kristy had a febrile seizure when she was a small child, too.

Answer: She's one of the "victims" in the mock accident

Mary Anne hates things having to do with accidents and illnesses. She's particularly afraid of blood, but Dawn volunteers her as one of the victims. She's supposed to be a heavy bleeder. Mary Anne goes through with it, but she's disgusted by the whole thing and irritated at Dawn. Considering that she nearly fainted watching the CPR demonstration on the dummy, this probably wasn't the best idea.

Mary Anne argues with Dawn after the event where she has to be a mock victim. She gets covered in blood and is completely repulsed by the whole situation. When she gets home, she yells at Dawn for volunteering her as one of the "victims." Dawn gets upset that Mary Anne isn't taking enough responsibility in her life, and that she's blaming others for her own inability to speak up.

Answer: Jamie and Lucy

Claudia takes Jamie and Lucy Newton. Jamie is four and Lucy is an infant. At first, Jamie doesn't want to go, thinking that it will be too scary. Claudia manages to convince him, and they all set off. However, towards the end, there's a demonstration of how firefighters put out a fire, which scares both Jamie and Lucy.

Answer: It's an all boys school

The school is nowhere near Stoneybrook. It's a boarding school, so Logan will have to live on campus. It's not as far away as Europe, though.

Logan objects to going to an all boys school. He's used to going to going to school with girls. Even though he's already dating Mary Anne and isn't interested in dating anyone else, he's annoyed at the idea of a single sex education.

Logan and Mary Anne talk to Mr. and Mrs. Bruno together. Logan tells his father all of the reasons why he wants to stay, calmly and articulately. His parents are impressed with his maturity, and they decide that he can stay, which obviously makes both Logan and Mary Anne very happy.
