Mr. Sturgeon says, "If I had any concrete proof that you switched the flag, or changed the record, or abducted the cat, I would be addressing your parents at this very moment." Fortunately for them, he doesn't... Bruno only lets Elmer's ants go later, when he and Boots are trying to make their new roommates hate them.

Answer: Elmer Drimsdale

Mr. Sturgeon places Bruno with Elmer, the school genius, whom Bruno calls "the school ghoul". Boots is unlucky enough to get George Wexford-Smythe; Mark and Wilbur already have roommates.

Answer: Diane's pet skunk

Bruno borrows Petunia from Diane and hides her in their room to scare Elmer. When Elmer asks what she's doing there, he says (making fun of Elmer's obsessions), "I'm a skunkologist. My world is the skunk world."

Answer: "Certainly. Riots are our specialty."

Cathy is quite game for the staged panty raid and riot, as are most of the girls. The only doubts expressed are those of Diane (who says "Are you crazy? I'll be shot!") and an unnamed girl who says "You've got to be kidding!", obviously doubting the plausibility of blaming George. "You promised. You said no trouble. You lied!" is said by Perry Elbert, the person who probably suffers most from Bruno's antics.

Answer: "Miss Scrimmage's Fishing School for Young Ladies"

Miss Scrimmage and her shotgun make an explosive combination... which is also often very embarrassing for the school.

Answer: Cathy, Diane, and "the Good Samaritan Committee"

Bruno gives the girls his highest compliment: "They remind me of us!"

Bruno and Boots be good? Never, unless as a last resort. First they try to make their roommates want to get rid of them; then they try making The Fish get rid of their roommates; and only when both those plans don't work do they consider behaving themselves. Waiting it out is never a real plan - Bruno and Boots realize the Fish would never put them back together unless something forced him to.

Answer: an ambassador's son

Francisco goes up in a hot air balloon in Ottawa, but the winch breaks and he gets lost in the air. Luckily, his balloon gets caught in a tree on the Macdonald Hall campus, so Bruno and Boots hear his cries for help and get him down.

Answer: a UFO

Elmer starts the alien alert, culminating in yet another riot and the arrival of the UFO Society. And of course, Miss Scrimmage shoots off her shotgun again . . .

Answer: Malbonia

When the ambassador expresses his regret that they can't have an official ceremony without an official flag, Mr. Sturgeon, Bruno, and Boots quickly find out that he represents the government of Malbonia. "In that case," says Mr. Sturgeon, "by a fortunate coincidence, I just happen to have the flag of Malbonia right here in my safe."
