A bunkhouse is usually a long wooden building with many beds, called bunks, inside. Found on ranches, especially in the western part of North America, bunkhouses are used by cowboys, ranch hands and migratory farm workers. Bunkhouses were traditionally built out of wood, but some newer, and less expensive, bunkhouses are now made out of other materials such as corrugated steel.
