Wilfrid Hasterly had been imprisoned for being involved in a diamond heist. Since his house had acquired a bad name, the new owners decided to change the name of the place to 'Fairlin Hall'.
2. How much did Goon agree to pay Ern per day for helping him with the mystery?

Mr. Goon convinced Ern to come and stay with him and keep an eye out for the person who was sending the anonymous notes. However Ern preferred to help the Five Find-Outers instead.
