Harry becomes friends with Ron when Ron stays in his compartment on the train and tells Harry about the Wizarding world. But, Ron starts to know Harry more when they eat candies together - they are still on the train then, of course.

Most people forget the names of the Weasleys' parents, probably because Harry calls them Mr. and Mrs. Weasley and their kids just call them mom and dad. Quite confusing for many people if they ignore the names!
